It was just bludgeoned to death by my 8yo daughter and her softball bat, much to the horror of her baby sitter. She claims it was trying to get in the house

I'd say rat snake based on pics.

Regardless, definitely a harmless constrictor.

Mayyyybe .160. Ironically her brother who does bat about .660 kept missing it. She grabbed the bat and it was all she wrote.

I had a King Snake try to get into the house. Picked it up and took it away from the house. Put it in the woods around a ravine nearby to do its work.

Damn thing was pretty docile.

Thats what made me look twice, half the live ones I've ever caught were climbing a door frame. In my defense she smooshed the frick out of his head and it didn't have that thin rat snake look.
