my friends that bowhunted MS used them in the early 1990's ... haven't seen them in years
the plastic pod cavities were filled with anectine and protected/covered by a small rubber balloon that peeled back upon entry

I really didn't think that this was still a thing. I actually had a game warden check me on an unnamed piece of public land not far from home, and he inspected my arrows to make sure that I wasn't using pods lol

Used some early 90s.

CSB.....I had not shot my bow with the pods installed and accounted for the length of the pod on my arrow. I had a small buck walk up, Drew back and arrow fell off, deer spooked. Never used them again.

First deer I ever killed with my bow and I had a pod on my arrow. Thank god I did. I pulled the shot and it went through her neck. Found her laid over 25 yards away with tiny hole in her neck.
