Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 1A has a threaded barrel. I got mine from Palmetto State Armory for $300. A great little rifle with all the same controls as the M & P Sport.

Jims in BR will thread it for $70.

I "2nd" the M&P 15-22 advice. Barrel is already threaded with a 1/2"x28 flash compensator on it. You can find them fairly cheap, $300-$400, and they'll eat up practically any ammo you run through it.
Not to mention its accessory options are virtually endless.
Love mine and have never heard a complaint from any other owners I know with one.

it's a great great rifle
they nailed it
I've never been able to get mine to jam and it stays dirty
my suppressor came in today too!

Nothing beats the new Ruger takedown with the removable flash suppressor on the threaded barrel.

Remington 597 has a threaded version for around $200. I love mine, just not many aftermarket upgrades available.

Ruger takedown
Can't go wrong with a Ruger 10/22 if you'd prefer a more traditional style rifle.
I'd venture to guess that the 10/22 and the 15-22 are currently the most popular 22LR rifles.

Ruger 10/22
S&W 15-22
Both solid options.

I def want to spend an extra $200 on a .22 SBR

I would probably go with the 10/22 takedown. But my Ruger Charger is really fun to shoot. Or you could go with a Charger takedown.
