I've done 2 transactions involving a cashier's check. Once as a buyer, once as a seller.

Both times we met at the bank so we could know everything was on the up and up. That's the only way I'm accepting one.

if the mother fricker can't show up in person and pick it up, its a la sportsman and/or craigslist scam. the end.

Lol, when your selling stuff if always helps to increase the eyeballs on the ad.

I was pretty positive it was a scam from the get go but just don’t see how it would work unless someone released the product as soon as the CC was received and did not wait until it officially cleared from the bank. The wording on the text does say they will pick up as soon as funds are received, not cleared.

Has anybody had luck selling a mud boat like this without the motor?
