I have both, but just got the bubba blade and have only clean big reds with it.

From what I can tell, the bubba blade is made for bigger fish, big bones and scales. the Rapala is my go to for trout and similar size fish.

is 30 minutes of run time enough to clean a few limits of bass? Would be cool to be able to clean fish at the launch instead of at home.

100% with this also, used this knife with almost no charge and filleted reds
Best on the market IMO

I have the Bubba Cordless. It’s very powerful. I’ve cleaned over 80 trout on a single battery and still had juice left. It also comes with 2 lithium ion batteries.

I have cleaned 75 trout with the Rapala and the battery held strong the entire time.

This is now my question. I’ve been debating the bubba blade. But now I’m thinking rapala. Is the rapala worth it the extra over the h20?

Academy isn’t making their own thing. They contracted someone else to make it with their logo and colors. If it looks like the Rapala, I’d say the likelihood they are made exactly the same by the same manufacturer are 99%.

No where on the packaging does it say lithium batteries. I don’t want it if it’s not lithium.

Pretty sure it’s not lithium... Rapala has 80 min run time, h20 has 30. For $20 I’d take the rapala and almost triple the run time.

I was wondering if that 80 min run time both batteries?
