Have any of you shot the new A5 Sweet? Any feedback?

Interested to hear as well. Have an older side by side in 16 ga that's always been fun to shoot.

I have only handled one and liked the balance. I’m impressed Browning is making them again.

It's the Ducks Unlimited gun of the year this year. I plan to get one at the DU event this year.

I have and old one made in Belgium in 1908.
Still as smooth as ever. Amazing gun.

I’ve shot a buddy of mines. I liked it. Shoulders really sweet and recoil isn’t bad at all for a light gun. I still wish they’d have made it in a 20ga though. If they’d ever make a synthetic 20ga A5 I’d retire my old Mag Twenty Auto 5 and shoot a 20ga for everything. I’d never pick up my 12 again I don’t believe

The Sweet 16 was not introduced to the public until 1937. Anything earlier was just an Auto 5 in 16 gauge. Still a nice gun. I have a unfired 1961 sweet 16 for sale if anyone interested. Gun packed with cosmoline, but do not have the original box.

I really want one of the current models. I shouldered one a gun store about a year ago and fell in love. Nice balance and very light.

Do you duck hunt?
Yes sir. I rarely ever break out a 12ga anymore. Most all of my hunting is done with a 20ga now. Has been for the last few years. Most of my buddies have swapped over to strictly 20ga as well

Email address? My dad has a pre-Sweet 16 Auto 5 16, but I have been considering finding a mint Belgium made Sweet 16 as well.
