We did the 9mm discussion and I believe folks found some.
Any .223 for less than $0.60/round available?
I'll take steel casings.

I use Ammoseek to find ammo right now. Looks like they have some steel .223 under $.60 . Ammoseek .223

go to wikiarms. Huge listing of available ammo. Just take off the backorder selection.
Bass pro is showing lake city for .40/round

Sportsman guide has wolf steel in and out of stock for .30 shipped. Used to be .20 but not a terrible buy considering.

I saw some Lake City for .49 a round in cases of 1,000 last week, but gone this week. My answer is going to echo the others: go to all of the websites and set alerts for the ammo you want when it comes in stock. When you get the alert at the price you want, buy. Do not wait until you get off of work. Do not shop around for other things you need or want while you're at the website. If it's still in stock when you log in, it goes into the shopping cart and you check out IMMEDIATELY. Enter your CC information and buy it on the spot when you see what you want. Good deals go quick.
I bought 400 rounds of .300BLK this morning. I wasn't thrilled with the price compared to what it was three months ago, but it was below the price alerts I'd set for what I was willing to pay. By the time I completed my transactions, both sites had sold out. You snooze, you lose these days.

Bought some from Freedom Munitions last week for less than 50 cents per round. Around 48 I think.

Found this place on about the 10 page of a google search. Took a chance on it. Had my ammo in about 10 days.

I also bought a 45 degree offset for my rifle and purchases over $50 have free shipping with a code that they show on the front page. It did say that the ammo doesn't qualify for the free shipping alone hence the extra item (was getting it either way). I want to say without the code and the extra item, shipping via ups ground was around $9.00. Not bad all things considered. Weird thing is that while it said the ammo didn't qualify, the other item allowed free shipping on all items.

How about another option that's even cheaper and will give you much better quality ammo?????
Start hand loading. I just ran the breakdown for my 223 Rem ammo. I'm getting 1/2 MOA ammo for $0.24/round (that's using the most expensive brass, Lapua). I used the actual prices I paid for the components, plus taxes where applicable. I did not amortize the dies, press and scales since I've been using the same equipment >30 years. The key is to buy good quality equipment and buy components in bulk whenever prices are good (on sale if possible), shipping is free and hazmat is free (or at least discounted). Although handloading has been a very fulfilling and relaxing hobby for many years for me, admittedly it's not for everyone.

Cheaper than you'd expect. 9mm and 2.23 weigh about the same per round and the last time I bought a case of 9mm, shipping was 20 bucks. 1000 rounds is only about 30 pounds, so it's not outrageously heavy. It's just compact.

No idea I have never used it. Super Vel is a old company that invited the FMJ but went out of business and was revived in like 2016 I think. I would think they are fine but thats just IMO so take it for what its worth.
I haven't seen it in stock but haven't tried I just get the email telling me about it and thought id pass it along.
Looks like limit of 1

I watched that vid and they seem legit. I like some of the other SCHP offerings as well I just haven't got any yet. Not a ton of testing data out there so I wasn't sure if they are a great company or using there history for so so stuff.
EDIT well that didnt last long :lol OOS now...25,000 rounds in a cpl of min.
