This was last week. mostly males. But I want the big girls!
Hopefully they should be coming in in the next few weeks! I'm not a deep water fisher. Spent most of my fishing in Houma. So deep water im not good at yet! I have live scope. Been fun on sac's. Just not good yet on chasing deep bass!

I picked the wrong Saturday to take clients out on Toledo bend. We launched at cypress bend this morning & headed for the Indian mounds. made it with ease but getting back to cypress bend is going to be fun. Wind is now ripping 40 mph on my main lake humps.

Yeah those waves in TB are no joke when the wind is bad. Got caught in chicken coop and had to cross the main canal to get to Lanan in that shite. Never again

You still on that "guide" shite? You knew a front was coming and decided to cross the lake? Dumbass, especially with "clients". Those aren't your humps at the Mound. That is now a community hole.

We had a good day yesterday despite the wind not cooperating. Kept 3 limits of keepers. Threw back a handful of 4-5 pounders. Another satisfied client.

From the Toledo Fishing reports page yesterday...

quote:

Orvel VanWinkle

One cast and almost 16 pounds of bass. 8 and a half pound bass and 7 pound 2 ounce bass on a red eye chrome and blue back trap. Once in a lift time catch, last weekend was a good fishing trip. Never know what you might catch when you put a bait in the water.

Yawn bait offshore is more exciting and fights harder than catching a bass...Sorry carry on

You would think they would just skip over the thread instead of wasting the time to click the link and let their stupidity be known

I’m headed to the north end to see if any nests are completed yet. Hoping to put a good friend/client on a big bed fish.

Anyone want to grab dinner @ Toledo tackle Saturday evening?

What's the earliest you've seen a bed?

Every year is different. I believe this seasons first wave of nesters could be ready before mid February. Basically it should be on fire in less than 18 days.
