I hope either Swindle or one of the guys that didn't jump ship wins it.

And I disagree with the BASS being old comment. BASS is the purest form of Tourney....
I get tired of the MLF dinkfest... sure a big one can change the game but 1 lbers get old quick.

You done did it now.

I like both and can appreciate the strategy involved either way.

I agree though I would like to see one of the guys who stayed win it just to ratchet up the drama that there are still some of the world's best somewhere besides MLF. Good for us as the viewing public if they're all competing and one doesn't run away with it.

Yeah I do like both but I always enjoy the 5 fish strategy more.

Kinda over BASS myself. The 5 fish thing is old. Carrying fish around during the spawn(or any time) for hours then randomly releasing them is not good for a fishery. All the new talent didn't establish themselves as elite, BASS had spots to fill and they were given not earned. I even see random people on FB after a good day of just fishing finish there post with " oh yea my best 5 went ____ lbs." Like who really gives a shite? You work in a plant or office and you get 10 days on the water a year. Your not on tour enjoy the day off. It's almost DoucheBag level when they reference the days weight.

You sound salty.

Agreed. My buddies fished a tourney a couple weekends ago, and I was interested in what their final weight was, and what the weight was that beat them. They weren't on tour either, yet I was still curious.

It is a simple way to describe the quality of fish you were catching. It doesn't have anything to do with being a tour wannabe.

I think MLF resonates with a lot of weekend warrior types like myself because it's similar to how we have to fish a lot of the time. I don't get days of practice to go and figure things out. My fishing trips are unfortunately few and far between most of the time. So, I just have to go out there and try to put something together.

I like both formats. They both have their place. Heck, I will watch an old timer pan fishing on youtube cause I just like to watch people fishing when I can't.

NO saltyness at all. Just truth. I do enjoy the MLF strategy for now and feel its better for our lakes and rivers as a whole. BASS will be a shell of itself by 2022. Friends sat around and discussed this very thing last Saturday night. How everyone wants to make sure and put that 5 fish weight on there for some sort of justification of manhood more than a quality of fish driven initiative. It has kinda taken away from a good day on the lake.

We discuss MLF/Bass Pro Tour, BASS & FLW a great deal on our show and YouTube Channel.

If I wasn't half dead with the flu, I'd be on the way to Knoxville right now with the team. There will be updates daily on our channel and FB page.

It is not about that at all, but you do you.

I can see BASS going to having the marshals weighing/logging the fish in the boat like MLF and releasing the fish immediately. Then just add up the 5 biggest at the end of the day.

You sound insecure as hell with this shite. Why do you care at all? I don’t post anything on social media but I understand when someone tells me they had a 20lb bag they had a really good day. It’s that simple.

No
BASS is doing a good job of hurting themselves
Good chance MLF will own BASS fairly soon if the kid (his parents bought BASS and gave it to him) runs it now keeps friggin up

there is a 10 fish per person limit on bass. a tournament boat comes in with 5 fish. A weekend meat hunter can have 2 or 3 people in the boat. And believe me they couldn't care 2 shits about spawn. lol.

I think the only way to help "save" or slow the destruction down is to have a no keep or no tournament idea during say feb and march (depending on area).

This is the end game. MLF will dominate sponsor $$$$$ BASS is running on fumes after agreeing to pay back most of everyone's entry fee for this year. FLW will continue to a be a High Dollar Jackpot Tourney for whoever whenever.

Wouldn't that eliminate the super bowl atmosphere they worked so hard to create at the weigh ins? I can remember going to a weigh in on toledo one cold wet spring (70'ish) and there were only a handful of spectators watching them weigh in under a pop up canopy
No pomp-No ad money.
