Sorry its been a very busy tax season for me this year. I started back on the boat last week. I have finished filling all the spider cracks and fiberglass repair work. I have completely sanded the entire boat and have taped up all openings and items that I do not wish to paint. I have purchased sealant and screws for to secure the cap to the hull and will begin priming and painting the boat this weekend.
I have a few photos but have had issues transferring them from my Android phone to my new Mac computer. Once I have uploaded all the photos I will update the thread with them.

Man I was thinking about this thread the other. Glad you’re getting back to it. I’m excited to see your progress.

I have the app and it does that too. After I upload, I go to the imgur site through my browser as a normal web page, not the app. There it gives you the ability to select a direct link.

Nice Chex. She's really coming along

Looks great, hard to tell is it more of a bass boat hull or a bay boat hull?

Awesome photos! It’s coming along nicely! What’s your next step? Paint?

Looking damn good Chex. What are you planning to hang off the back?

Looking good. I have one, you gonna love it. 6” plate with a 150, 23p Trophy at about 3” under keel is the setup. 60+ on the topside but will cruise at 45 for max fuel economy. Use Seastar steering, Baystar isn’t enough. Unless you’re gonna fish big water a lot I wouldn’t say you need a hotfoot, I switched mine back to the regular throttle.

So far I have filled rod holder holes in deck hatches and sanded smooth. Taped a paper skirt under the water line and used a drimmel to remove screws that were creating space between the hull and cap.

IMO when you are doing 60mph it’s good to have two hands on the wheel and still be able to control the throttle.

With the hydraulic steering boats one hand drive like Cadillac. This boat really isnt fast enough to need to be a wheelman to run it. The hotfoots nice in rough water but other than that I don’t see the need. With the hand stick anybody can run it. Like props it’s a choice thing, the Tempest is probably the better prop for this rig but a Trophy is just easier to drive. Less trim sensitive

I’ve heard with a 175 it’s close to a 70 mph rig, you gotta start driving this thing just about 62 so keep that in mind. Tritons chinewalk with the best of them. Also I run a Merc so different motor may need a different setup
