If you're gonna spend 1500 might as we'll save a bit more and go full retard.

The sa mc operator is nice in that price range though.

I'm trying stay 1 tier down from full retard. 1,500 is still half of nighthawk and Wilson combat lol

I have always wanted a kimber warrior since I was in high school

If you are getting a high end 1911 that you plan on putting to serious use, a Les Baer is what you want IMO

I have the warrior, black. Nice pistol no problems. I prefer the sa mc operator over it though. I own both.

Thanks H.M.

Why is that?

I'm not sure if it's still going on but Kimber was having some quality control issues back in the day IIRC.

I still say the Springfield TRP Operator will give you the best bang for your buck.

SA 1911 is the most bang for your buck! Great gun but for 1500-2000 I would probably go Colt. Love my SA operator.

The finish on both is great. The fit (slid to frame) on the SA is much tighter than the kimber. The SA feels like a custom where as the the kimber feels like a nicely finished off the shelf gun. SA customer service is top notch. The barrel on the SA, to me, is fantastic and so on. I am not a fan of the lightweight, aluminum frame. The MC Operator is the best 1911 under 2k in my opinion.

Get rid of the pachmyer grips and throw some vz's on the operator.

Only thing about the Springfield TRP and the Operator that I don't like is the guide rod. The two-piece design and the bushingless barrels are not easy to disassemble.

You can get the Colt for well under your $1500 budget. Depending on your application you may want to look at some night sights. FYI - I own a Rail Gun. Knowing what I know now and I was looking at a railed 1911 I would save a few bucks more and order the Baer OR purchase a Dan Wesson Specialist. I own a Valor and am very impressed with the build quality for the price.

Yeah, I agree with that. But it's a minor annoyance.

Mine has a bushing a regular plug and a flat wire spring. No rail though.

The mc operator does not have a guide rod. The trp operator does.

Not mine, how do you post your own pics?
