Mosquitoes everywhere. Miserable
Lots of deer on cameras. But at this point wish I was in bed.

I don’t see how you folks deal with the skeeters.

Good luck to everyone.
If this was 4 years ago, I’d be bow hunting today. I’m 37, which isn’t too old but today is a little to warm for me.
Up until I was 33 I bow hunted probably 15-20 days during the month of October. Just not as mad at them anymore to run up a tree in 75-85 degrees.
I will say nearly half of my top bucks have come in the month of October and I’ve been blessed to kill some monsters.
If I was hunting our place in Tensas today I’d be about 25’ up in one of the lock ons in one of the oak flats between ag fields or in one of the sprawling heavily hardwooded woods at our place. I’m sure 99% of acorns are on the ground and the deer are going to stuff themselves with acorns this afternoon from 4:15- dark.
For all the baws in Louisiana, parts of Mississippi that got 40+ mph winds the other night, are all of the acorns in your area on the ground? Went to our place yesterday and it looked almost all were blown off and now on the ground.
Again, Good luck to everyone and be safe.

Lil Ron with the 7mm-08
Had two does about 75 yards yesterday
They never would really separate or give us a broadside shot so didn’t let him take the shot
He is itching to pull the trigger now!

Didn’t touch my phone all weekend, so I’ll participate now. Busted some birds in Dilley, TX with a group of friends on Friday and Saturday. What should have been an 8.5 hour drive over turned into 14 hours because my dumb arse was in evacuation traffic. Took me 4 hours to drive 35 miles in Lake Charles. Hell of a time.
