IMHO we have clearly the best woman 400m runner in the world. She chooses to only do the hurdles though

I’d love to see Syd do it but honestly, Cockerell would probably do alright as well.

Women’s 400m is visually one of the least athletic looking things I’ve seen on the track this week.

To be fair, the dude that won the men's 400 looked like he was about to pass out for the last 300 meters.

Oh I know but at least it looked like something. The women looked like running in quicksand and it was an OR.

It’s a brutal event. There is a reason why so many people don’t want to do the event, even if they are very good at it (Kerley, Tebogo, Norman).

The 400/800 were always my least favorites. Just painful all the way through.

Damn, that sucks how Anna Hall fricked up her best ever javelin throw by not paying attention to where that line was.

And you still have things like a late scratch to a runner (like Lyles).
Wasn't Kung Flu Kenny supposed to be the 3rd leg with Lyles anchoring?

Just saw that too and was about to say that does really suck. Wonder how many points she lost on that mental lapse.

We did a conditioning while at LSU one time

10 400m sprints with 90 second break in between each one

No time requirement for each individual 400m

Total time though had to be under 12 minutes

Was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I felt like I was legit oxygen deprived at the end. We had some guys that legit almost passed out

Mondo is more patriotic for the US than that bitch. I'm glad she fricking choked after what she pulled at the '21 Trials medal ceremony.

Syd rruns a 50.4 400m jumping over 10 hurdles.

The winning time today was 48.2.

She crushes it on the 400m relay. Her split at the World Championships was 47.91.

What's the reason for her not going solo in 400m?

Yep, inexcusable mental error and it's going to cost her a medal.

How can athletes train their whole life for this moment and then just go out there and scratch by bunny hopping onto the line?

Anna probably wasn't going to win gold, especially with her recent injuries and Mafi Thiam being borderline unbeatable in this event, but she still was almost a lock for the podium.

Wonder how much NBC making her a huge face of the Olympics added pressure.

Doesn't matter. She will still have a huge future, if nothing else in modeling and endorsements due to her personality and beauty.
