She's making MILLIONS from endorsements because she was born in America and originally competed for team USA and born into very a affluent
family.

That article made me like her more. She’s seems like a good person. I don’t care what country she represents.

20 million
And the reason it isn’t going to work is simple. The betrayal is not just the act of competing under another country’s flag alone. The betrayal is competing under another country’s flag, while shite-talking the US, while staying silent on the other country’s far far FAR worse human rights abuses.
People aren’t mad at Gu simply for not competing for the US. They are mad because she epitomizes the modern left in all the worst ways: born on third base and gifted with immense advantages, yet intent on amplifying every imperfection in our country, while simultaneously being perfectly willing to hypocritically remain silent on the evils of those doing far worse things than us.
Doing all of that, while ALSO choosing to compete for the far more evil country over competing for her home country that gave her all of those immense advantages, is why people are mad at her.

Gu claims to support reproductive freedom but represents a country that had a one-child rule and forced abortions for most of her lifetime. What an absolute hypocrite she is.

“frick America and their abuses” (athlete from Oregon that chooses to compete for Germany in 1936 instead )
That sounds so crazy to even type, yet that’s exactly what is happening here

From everything I've read Chinese fans don't like her very much either

I really don’t give a flying frick either way what country someone chooses to compete for and I don’t root for someone just because they are American.

Everyone talking about her representation not political views, only you said something. In which case go to the political board. And when she did this 4 years ago people were angry. Let’s treat our athletes right where they don’t have to have a 9-5 then train until midnight. Let’s do what a bunch of countries do and support them.

Besides, it's obvious that the ChiComs gave her the money with the stipulation that she makes anti-American statements
Seems like the ROI on that "investment" is quite low. No one comes away from her interviews of her bashing the same country she lives in and says "Know what? That Gu chick really left an imprint on me with her words"

Then, after the Olympics are over, everyone can go back to their anti-immigration rhetoric.

Yes and the countries pay for the training and pays the athletes to train

Tell me how much the average Olympic athlete gets paid by country

Not sure that qualifies as American anymore

Raised in San Francisco’s affluent Sea Cliff neighborhood, Gu would attend the city’s top private schools
A lot of Winter Olympic athletes are spoiled, affluent children who grew up in a bubble and so as myopic adults cast stones from their glass houses.

Just nailed her third qualifying run to make the finals. There's no way this piece of shite doesn't win gold on Monday.
Posted on 2/14/26 at 2:12 pm to TigerFanatic99
I'm surprised her Commie Fricker job doesn't pay more than 20m.
