only 5,000 gallons, bbls. or 24,000 of the same for that matter? No one knows, because the media is controlled by your government. We all here what they want us to hear and see in the news; whether it be in the papers, on the tube or on the net.
You all are living in a world of lies (naturally I am too, because it is dark in here, too dark to see). We all have the same problem as the people working down at those depths (5,000') with their robotic instruments trying to see what is really going on. One thing for sure, the creatures in the sea are suffering and does mankind really care? If mankind can't revolt against companies like B.P. and T.O. drilling, with the understanding that if this had been done in some other part of the world that the treatment of their Big Boys would be coming down allot harder than it is in the G.O.M. This is beyound stupid; it is Mega Stupid and that is the action from all of the higher ups that were involved in this situation. Enjoy your gumbo while you can and take no pity on the future of the wildlife that inhabit those regions???

OK to answer your question. They do have a formula that is used in spills. Depth of oil X area X (Some factor)= bbls. in the spill area.

I've seen this used before and is very close to the spill amount.

actually, the official release estimate (5,000 bbl/day) is the number BP said. Not the government.

Congratulations on the stupidest post anyone's made on this board, though!

With the current gov agenda to shut down oil production offshore. If this line of thinking is correct then u would say whole thing is a publisity stunt with no oil leak. Or at worst 5000 gal/day.

YatTigah – Super Ban this fool! And BayTiger is a big 24 and know it all....
(another meteorologist; one who predicts a 50/50% chance that there will be sunshine or rain tomorrow; how are your long term forecast going?

LSUDadOK to answer your question. They do have a formula that is used in spills. Depth of oil X area X (Some factor)= bbls. in the spill area.
So your still on the move and only a beer taster with over 49,000 post .... Another nobody, IMO!

I've (you’ve) seen this used before and is very close to the spill amount.
So, your formulas are exact ; it is just what your government uses fool. I worked and had to report a spill or two; give us a run down on your experiences in reporting the many spills that you were involved in because you probably couldn’t operate without gulf waters being polluted on a regular basis? Or, you don’t know sh*t about what you are guess-tamations are all about when it comes to oil slicks? That is their formula and you think it is close to the spill amount?......
I wish he'd try that with me – I’d love to see it myself!

DaphneTigah – so your a couple of years out of college and you are already pro military? so, you think that you know it all? Kid, I use my alluminun foil to bake my yams in and even though I do not reside in the lower 48 these days; I own an American made automobile and I pay for my gasoline by the liter; but since you know it all, figure this out? quos deus vult perdere prius dementat!
And even though I’ve been to S.F. several times in my life and I find it a very nice city when I compare it to most in LA (and am I gay like you, No; I just loved to see the women of the world and the beauty of the USA! Also I wouldn’t live in S.F., even if you would buy me a home there. Which you won't...

HurricaneDunc – see this? LINK <<Sounds more like you than me>> I’ve friends of many ethnic groups and from many countries in our world.>> And below this is probably your personal ignorant referra,l but no this isn’t me either! So, what is yours? LINK

BROffshoreTigerFan -
so you never been in the real world of actually working offshore or being out there in the G.O.M. for any extended period of time to know the real truths? I’ve children older than you and they know more about life than you’ve ever exhibited here. You are jsut a paper chaser in a cubicacle at a dock facility? :rotflmao:
