Come on people, get it together and put things into perspective. No more doom and gloom, lets be thankful we dont see more of the RED and ORANGE along the coast. Lets stay positive and hope for the best.

that doesnt show any of the oil that on or under the surface of the ocean, and its still gushing

the point is, the % of oil that has hit our coast up until this point is very minimal compared to the amount that has gushed out. Also, the impact is also very minimal compared to how bad it could be. Most of the closures are due to precautionary measures. This is nothing compared to what the media and doom and gloomers are making it out to be. Yes, fishing and seafood may be done for this summer, as well as tourism to our coast and Gulf Coast beaches, and maybe even a year or two before the DHH clears our seafood, but come on man, as of right now, in the grand scheme of things we have a lot to be thankful for.

Yes I own shares of quite few O&G stocks, but I sold my BP and RIG right after the accident.

Flew over most of BS and Main Pass today and saw very little oil. All of the pics yall are seeing is for the most part in a 5 to 10 mile radius around the leak site. The fish, shrimp, craps and every other fricking thing that lives out here is fine so like the man said lets pull it together now.

I am hoping for the best but I googled an independant scientific study of Prince William Sound 10 years after the Valdez incident. Made me want to break down and cry.

Wow. Where do you think all of the oil went? It's still out there. It will wash up somewhere, since we're the closest, we are the most likely. they used dispersements to make it stay below the surface so that you cant see it (If you don't think that is the driving force, you're fooling yourself). So any day you may wake up and the entire coast is soaked. That is reality.

The oil that is coming out is a prety high gravity, much is actually being diluted, the under water oil plumes are way over stated and some have been debunked as inncorrect.

A lot of the oil is being degraded, some is moving north towards our coast but as you can see from the map, we havent been hit with much of it. I would assume that most is moving South never to been seen again.

Try living in Houma where 95% of the economy is Oilfield/Fishing Industry!!! Then tell me to get it together, when we are losing jobs to a Memorandum and our Fishermen can't fish! Put these guys back on rigs and boats then i will not worry, until then do not tell me to compose myself esp saying DAMMIT!!! With all due respect! Oil may not be washing up on shore everyday but people are sent home everyday wondering where they will earn their next check!

I live in NOLA and work out of Houma/Morgan City, I own a company that is directly involved with O&G and I'm telling you to calm down Francis. It will work itself out. It is never as bad as it seems.
