Beautiful Sunday weather for golf. First time going this weekend. What’s the covid crowd like? Masks on or off? InB4 New Orleans is such a shitehole. The Westbank is JP.

Went yesterday, you have to wear a mask on the shuttle to the course from the Alario center. After that no one had a mask on. The volunteers could care less about enforcing it either.

The crowd is limited to 10,000. I don't know why. A golf course must be the easiest place in town to social distance.

I went yesterday and the crowd was pretty big especially, the 18th when Finau and Hovland were finishing up. It looked like herds of cattle leaving the place.
I don't expect Sunday's crowd to be as big today when you considering church and other Sunday activities. According to the TPC spokesperson I talked to, Saturday's event was almost sold out. (Probably was)

I’m confused, are they limiting the crowd to 10,000 max because of COVID? Or is it wide open and anybody can buy a ticket and go?

Heard on a radio show yesterday the limit was 10k because of covid. I don't see why. The people who want to congregate in the popular spots such as the 18th green are going to do so anyway. Otherwise it is certainly easy to spread out on a golf course.
