So how is this worse than just giving the entitlements for nothing in return?

Have a one year old son.
His grandmother is full blooded Jamaican.
Better believe we marked African-American on birth certificate.

I'm sure they'll offer top dollar to "willing sellers", being the govt and all.

I disagree with the premise of the bill, but being given a farm isn't exactly a free handout like a welfare check. There is a shite ton of work involved if they actually want to reap the benefits.

Not if they immediately turn around and sell the land they've been given and walk away with indirect reparations.

I’m not a fan of the idea, but let’s not be ridiculous. The obvious difference is the JBFA buys farmland that is already on the market. It’s closer to the Homestead Act or the 1850 Land Claim Act. The only real issue here is the $8billion per year in tax payer money, however in truth, the US government probably spends more per year on toilet paper. So, it’s probably not that big of a deal.

Sheeeeeit. That's better than an Oprah car give away.

You get an acre. You get an acre.

TP serves a purpose. You're not going to make hundreds of thousands of ethnic city dwellers to be successful farmers.

It’s my understanding it’s for existing or qualified farmers. Whatever qualified means. On a side note, I have worked with a program that teaches inner-city kids organic farming. It’s pretty cool. Their veggies are just as good as any.
