Are we seeing possible sheer blowing in the NW Gulf?

It was pushing up into an air of dry air that it could've shoved off with how it looks before the Yucatan, but I'm hoping we're seeing some if it infiltrate the core of the storm now, so that, if nothing else, it can keep it from strengthening much before hitting the northern Gulf.

The core still looks pretty stout, so I'm uncertain it'll make much difference.

It only has maybe a 12 hour window here before the trough hits it with shear along with the colder water. Gonna be tough for it to get its shite together and be more than cat 1 in that timeframe

They’ve put new orleans in the middle of the forecast track so many times this year, now that one is actually likely to hit them nobody really cares.
on the lead up to every storm that hasn’t hit New Orleans this year, I sold out of everything that can be used to hook up a generator. Haven’t fielded one call about it yet for this one. No one is taking it seriously yet

The outflow is amazing to the North. The heat engine when it fires will be operating very efficiently. I wouldn't necessarily say it looks like shite

ETA:

Starting to pull a lot of moisture into its circulation

I wonder if because we've been through this drill so many times, it's not that people are complacent, they're ready already.

Unless they tore into their hurricane snack stash

This latest image (from page one of this thread) sure looks like Zeta is disintegrating...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Will Zeta likely start falling apart quickly or maintain itself after landfall?
