Conditions may not be as unfavorable as previously thought. Multiple models are showing strengthening all the way to landfall.
DMAX is going to do wonders for the storm

Give it a few hours

As I recall when I watched Levi last night he talked about the storm intensifying after it exited Yucatan. But it sure looks like it has weakened since then.

I would imagine EBR goes as planned, unless we see a shift west in forecast. Ascension in same boat

Models arent everything. See if NHC ups intensity forecast at 4 pm. Doubt they do.
Levi was confident in range of 60-90 mph at landfall

Has anybody heard anything about EBR or Ascension schools?
Yea - EBR schools are horrible. If you have kids there you gotta send them to private school but if you're in Ascension, the schools there are fantastic except in Donaldsonville.

No official announcement. I would assume on current track schools will remain open

Dude you gotta know by the 43rd hurricane thread of the season asking anything about EBR is instant downvotes

Well Livingston canceled half a day, Ascension is further southeast so figured they would follow suit

Ascension has a hurricane warning issued, my guess is an early dismissal wed or at home virtual day Wed and possibly Thurs if power loss
EBR (no warnings yet) will most likely have school with a possible early dismissal and depending on power lost could be virtual Thurs if bad enough
