Parents, due to the enhanced risk of higher winds this afternoon, and out of an abundance of caution, CCSS will have an early dismissal today. Middle and high school students will dismiss at 1:00. Bellingrath, Tanglewood, and CIS students will dismiss at 2:00. All after-school activities and after-care are canceled. Thank you.
Nice job, dismiss them a few hours before a hurricane makes landfall. Plenty of time to prep and evacuate.

Every time it looks like shear is starting to kick in Zeta fights back with deep eyewall convection. That last burst is ugly looking, probably still strengthening at this point.
Shear in line with the motion and maybe some baroclinic enhancement.

And NWS has mandeville at 80mph sustained. That seems absurd
Someone like Duke will probably have more insight but my guess is that this due to Mandeville possibly getting the northeast quadrant of the eye wall in combination with the forward speed of Zeta.

Is this thing making a NE turn early?

the more robust convection seems to be sticking to the west side

The NWS seem way way way over exaggerated on wind. I guess we will see

It's clearly moving northeast on radar. Now whether that turns into NNE is something to watch.

it's moving north, the way Earth's curvature is portrayed on the map makes it look like it's moving northeast

This point and click forecast from the NWS is awesome. Can look up the hourly forecast in your neighborhood for all those that ask what conditions will be at your house.
It is.
The NOAA,NWS and NHC has a wealth of info. Some of it I don’t understand but I’m learning.
Histories, all kinds of stories, graphs anything anyone wants to educate themselves concerning weather is there.
As I stated before it'skind of like accessing the Library of Congress, there is a lot of very informative, interesting info to peruse.
Good reading . It’s way in front of TWC. Except I haven’t been able to find Stephanie Abram’s tits.

Really, Peej? You're throwing stones when you live in a tetanus box with a termite-infested front porch?
I better stop, I don't want you to shoot me.

Well, there's your problem. Earth isn't curved!

Due more to the fact that buses can’t run in winds 35mph or under tornado warnings.
