No way this happens. All NATO members must agree and approve by national processes (2/3 Senate ratification in US for instance.)
It does seem to open door for negotiations w Ukraine accepting something short of a full withdrawal. This may give some negotiating space moving forward and perhaps a hopeful sign.

Putin waged this war due to Ukraine joining NATO. These terms are unacceptable to him. Its a nonstarter
That's total bullshite. Putin started this war for geopolitical and economic reasons. The people posting here are clueless, and many are trolls. Putin wants to rebuild all of what broke apart after the fall of the USSR. This is called "neo-Eurasianism." He wants access to the Atlantic Ocean.

frick him. My goodwill towards Ukraine has been completely evaporated thanks to this begging frick and people in my government giving him a ton of our money.
No NATO. You want protection - go beg your old daddy Russia for it, which is what you should have been doing in the first place.

Let Ukraine join NATO as long as we pull out of it.

Uh…the treaty between Ukraine and Russia said no nato.
Putin doesn’t want the “frick Russia” club as his neighbor.
None of this is surprising.
Wonder who invited Z to NATO.

Maybe Victoria Nuland shouldn't have run a coup in 2014 and we shouldn't have had assholes like Lindsey, McCain, and Biden meddling over there constantly. Placing 12 CIA bases on the border might have made Russia a little jittery, too.

That sounds like a "conspiracy theory." Do you have any proof that there were 12 CIA bases? They usually don't advertise their bases.
You sound like another one from the Russian troll farm. It's not about NATO. This war was going to happen anyway. Their goal is to recapture everything that broke off after the end of the cold war, like everyone predicted was going to happen, eventually. This is another situation where the conspiracy theory" actually happened, yet it is ignored by the establishment. The public don't care because of their short attention span and memory.

You are correct. But the conspiracy theory came true.

Nope. You can’t do that. That’s what started this in the first place.
Best case is let Russia keep the territory, allow US defense systems in the first fifty miles of Ukrainian western territory, and no other treaties.
Reality, they need to quit and give up the territory.

The political section of this forum is so filled with Russian trolls LINK it is useless to post anything there without the thread being hijacked if anybody posts an opposing view about Ukraine with facts and links. Now they have moved to the O-T Lounge.

I’m all for supporting Ukraine against Russia and its unprovoked war of aggression but joining NATO? No. Hell they can’t. Membership bars any applicant in active conflict which Ukraine obviously is.

I’ve been on here for a decade longer than you, chode.
You can go blow Putin or Zelensky or whoever you want somewhere else.
Ukraine and Russia can both frick right off.

Most of the inhabitants in the would be exchanged territory were pro-Russian slavs who were sick of the corrupt governments in Kiev pissing on them. The pro-Western Ukranians have left that area and they aren't coming back.
It's like fighting a war over Brownsville, Texas and the border counties. I know national pride and all but at some point you have to ask what you're fighting for...apart from milking the Biden Administration out of $100 billion in graft.

That’s not what this clown is saying.
Idk why people hate on Zelensky. He’s kept Ukraine in game longer than most expected. Of course he’s gonna try and get as much cash and weapons as he can. It’s not his fault that we keep giving him shite. What’s he supposed to do, make decisions on what’s best for the American taxpayer?

This link explains the real reason for the war that the media doesn't tell you. LINK
Wars are about money and resources, or geopolitics. The brain of Vladimir Putin is Aleksandr Dugin. He wrote a book called 'The Foundations of Geopolitics', which explains Putin's insane agendas
The end goal is for Russia to continue taking over country after country until they reach warm (unfrozen) water on the Atlantic (Scandinavia). This will also mean an attack on NATO soil. Russia is largely land locked and only has access to the Pacific. According to Dugan, Atlantic access will make it easier for them to compete with America. The only way Russia can compete and defeat the US, is through subversion.
Dugin's belief system is called "neo Eurasianism," which is extreme right, even though he claims to oppose neo nazism in Ukraine. Like it or not, this war isn't going to stop at Ukraine, despite what these trolls are posting here. It is expansionist just like communism was. It just took a brief rest a few decades ago. It was predicted to start expanding again.

A story from the media isn't proof of anything. The mainstream mass media is the most biased bunch of crap that exists, regardless of left wing or right wing.
This is the same media that hasn't even told America the reasons for Russia's invasion.
