Old boy could have put a little of that towards getting his pond cleared up.

I think nursing homes are all tied into Medicaid fraud, my 2 cents

His company true. But he had no idea what his employees (305 hospitals) were doing it. Half of that lawsuit was against the labs. Three of his labs had this bright idea in order to increase their "efficiency" against all the other hospitals to divide out a single test of a multiple test. This was to get their count artificially higher just to be able to compete statistically. I was ranked fifth, another lab was fourth and those 3 were 1-2-3. I did complain something didn't look right and had a theory (that was correct) what was happening but the mid level CEO didn't pass it up the chain. They charged zero for the "added test" so no one would be hurt financially (they thought) but failed to realize Medicare doesn't care what you charge, they just see the cpt code. 9 months later here comes Medicare and they get fined $450,000,000 for the lab violations. (the other 450 was for something else). Point being, Scott didn't know anything about it.

You don't have to think, 100% factual

Paula Pennington's son is currently in the clink for Medicare fraud, too.

Thank you!!
I’m so sick of all the fear mongering about Medicare Advantage on social media. It’s everywhere. I sell Medicare insurance and a lot of my clients prefer Medicare Advantage instead of Original Medicare and a Medicare supplement.
This lab would never have been able to defraud a private insurance company like Blue Cross or Humana.
Original Medicare is a joke! You are right!

Legacy Medicare is easier for thieves and scoundrels to defraud, it appears. They should rot in jail, regardless of the letters behind their name.
But Medicare Advantage is only a harder target because those sons of bitches don't pay anyone- even for legitimate care. They'll give you free hearing aids and Part B rebates and all manner of shite. But if you end up truly sick and need expensive, lifesaving services and rehab, they will work their hardest to stiff the doctors and hospitals that saved your life. And god forbid you need inpatient rehab or some other post acute care placement. Does SOL mean anything to you? There is a reason the stock of Humana and United have been tumbling- because the government is getting wise to their Medicare Advantage Grift. Medicare Advantage is for suckers and fools. I've been in the healthcare industry for 40 years on the taking care of patients side, and they are the absolute worst. All of them. Why do you think those bastards advertise so much? A public service?
Unless you are sure you'll never be in an accident or get really sick, look hard at Standard Medicare and a Supplemental plan. That's what I'll do when I stop working. I'm sure the commissions aren't as high on those products, are they?

Is he? I heard he managed to buy his way out of it. A story as old as the times, but if true it’s a shame. He defrauded the va and other agencies

Yep. I think the government is really pushing Medicare Advantage because they know that a private company can deal better with fraud (since they have a real motive to do so). And from what I hear, the private companies offer better benefits than regular Medicare. So it appears to be a win win type of deal so far.

There is so much fraud and money laundering in the medical industry it’s a joke. Every “emergency clinic” should be investigated.

From the lab half, there was no money going up. No excess money. For profits (property tax payers) can get fined for mistakenly asking for money they are not warranted to have. Even if it’s an obvious transcript error. This wasn’t that type of error this was just 3 duffuses not understanding how things work. Non taxing paying labs, the so called not for profits - getting prosecuted for not following medical necessity laws is laughable
