never owned a single pair… parents were too poor…

but once i was able to start working and making my own money, i wore the hell out of some Tommy, Nautica, Chaps, etc… I was broke once the school year started, but I was at least broke in style...

Girbaud were the gold standard. Never wore out, were stylish and comfortable as hell.

It's easy to look back and say we wore some stupid shite, then I see kids today and couldn't be happier that I'm not part of that generation.

I was thinking about Girbaud jeans the other day. I wish they would come back, probably the best made jeans I've ever owned.

Z Cavs ( had to have at least 3 pair to call them that) , Union Bay, Guess, Bugle Boy were the popular brands at my school.

As proof, I caught my cousin wearing a pair the other day. I asked where he got them and he said Alexandria mall in the late 1980's. They were navy blue and still looked brand new.

He's in his 40's so he doesn't really care about what's in style.
