What if you like cars and enjoy driving? Why did I work my arse off for the last 25 years to drive some mediocre, uncomfortable, underpowered POS?
Why are you so worried about what people spend their money on?

If I'm going to pay $1,500 a month for a vehicle, It's going to be a motor home and also a tax write off.

I like cars and like driving. I've worked my arse off for the past 20+ years. Today's vehicles don't require 70-80k for comfort or power. I've got an extremely comfortable ride with more than enough power that's less than 3 years old and I spent less than 30k. Why? Because I'm not an idiot. Go white knight somewhere else. Op is attention whoring and revealing his stupidity in the process. He doesn't give a frick about which vehicle we think he should get. The purpose of this thread for him was to tell everyone he was going to pay 86k cash for a car like a dumbass

If you try to compare a new Escalade to anything under $30k, you actually are an idiot. People can afford different things, so be it. I wouldn’t spend $100k on a truck but certainly don’t think less of someone who does. I don’t understand the constant bickering about the price people pay for vehicles on this site, when you have no idea of the other persons financial situation.

Ignoring the fact that you are comparing a Navigator to anything under $30K, I'll ask again, why are you so worried about what other people spend their money on?

Show me where I said that.

A person's financial situation has nothing to do with the fact that it's just not a good investment. You pay 86k for a vehicle. The second you drive it off the lot, it loses its value. Within a year it'll be worth 70k. Regardless of the person's financial situation. Now explain to me how that sounds like a good investment...

Youre right my opinion doesn't matter. If that's what he wants go for it. It's still a stupid investment

Why does it have to be an "investment". To me a vehicle is an "overhead" cost and not an investment since I know going in what it will cost me. I'm not trying to make money on it.
And again, IDGAF what people spend their money on. why do you?

For some people, that’s a reasonable price for a consumption purchase. It isn’t an investment, and they know that.

I am not one of them.

Have a '20 Yukon Denali, huge fan. Do not care at all for the '21 model's styling.

The 6.2 is a monster towing boats, and the 10-speed tranny is silky smooth, wouldn't change a thing on the vehicle, but that's just my take. 25K miles in so far

Pushrods operate the valves on the GMC engine. Maybe you are thinking of the Ford.

We had a Yukon SLT, the shorter one. We liked it. No major issues. AC condenser went out after a couple years. Seemed like a common issue. Other than that, I liked it. Just too big for the wife to drive.

Toyota will cease making the Land Cruiser in 2022. It will last longer and be more reliable than a GM or Ford.

Unless it’s a collectable, no one is looking at an auto as an investment.

Understand that ideally, no one would ever buy anything north of a 4Runner with your metric.
