I was watching some show about time travel and it got me thinking... if I was to get sent back to XXXX year, "What should I know how to do, etc?"

I remembered a poster I saw that had a lot of the basics covered larger version you can read here

The poster says "Hang this in your time machine" and covers:
- Flight
- Technology
- Health
- Chemistry

What do you guys think are the most important things to know/learn/etc. to be able to contribute to keeping you alive in say, the mid-17th century?

Go.

The 1650s?

Try not to get burned at the stake for suggesting that people shouldn’t toss their shite in the street.

I'd probably want to know a ton about engineering, so I could invent a ton of very very basic stuff we take for granted and get rich as frick.

I tend to agree that this is one of the absolute requirements... but how would you make it? I've googled "How to make penicillin at home" and it's a fricking nightmare of a recipe.

You’ll have to have invented calculus 10 years prior to Newton.

Fun fact: Isaac Newton died a virgin.

Allegedly, his celibacy is what saved his arse from the plague when it wiped out Cambridge during his time there. He kept his arse locked up.

Apparently, he was the first social distancer.
