Ridiculous. The best team should still advance. Now, the championship will be bullshite for both teams in it, regardless of the result. Sportsmanship should be encouraged, but it's not illegal to be an a-hole
Absolutely.

These were 11-12 year old girls, they should be punished for their actions. I certainly hope the parents don't defend their actions.

You won!! But since a couple players were untasteful, you actually lost. Seriously.
Since a couple means 2 and I see at least 6 players shooting the bird in the photo, your post is a factual fail.

What? That if you lose as long as the winner is an a-hole you really won?
No, the lesson is that actions have consequences and that sometimes those consequences aren't fair.
Conduct yourself with class at all times, never know who is watching.

I see 4 players shooting the bird. I also see 12 in the previous photo. So they could have been allowed to play ...........

The lesson is, don't get caught. Allegedly the "host team" actions precipitated this.

Lesson > game
What's the lesson here exactly? Are they trying to tell the kids that if their competitor who fairly bests them is an a-hole, some governing body will hand them the victory? That's not how life works.
They could easily force the two teams to line up before a game and shake hands/apologize. But there will always be assholes. You have to learn how to deal with them. Come back next year fired up. I wouldn't want to be handed an unearned victory.

This is just an example of the underlying issues in our country. Even if you earned something people that are offended will try to rip it away from you.

They did this right before they went behind the dugout to smoke a cigarette.

My comment wasn't aimed at whether the ruling was right or not, but purely at the erroneous comment that it was only a couple of players.

Well, when Ronnie Lewis is your coach this sort of thing happens

Or the other lesson is that if you violate the rules, your actions will have consequences, even if they are unfair or harsh. No one forced them to violate the rules of the governing body they play for. They chose to do their actions and now they are paying for it. Lesson learned.
Also, youth today need to know that ANYTHING put on social media will be used against you. Also, another lesson learned.

This is why Gen Z will be the death of the SJW movement. They do not embrace everyone has feelings and I embrace a return to the 1980s

think the better result would be to let the team still play if they have enough players and then send the girls in the picture ho
This, dq players and let the team play
