I just communicated with Phil for a bit.
He wanted me to convey his gratitude in a way that I'm not sure I can properly put into words.
He wanted all of you to know that he just lives his life and he jokes around on here, but in no way could he ever fathom the outpouring of love and support from his time on these boards.
Phil is overwhelmed with emotion by the generosity of his friends, in words and deeds, during this time of need.
"Thank you is not enogh (sic). It will never be enough. Fighting to get back better than I was will be my show of thanks."

I don't know him, but you, and others do, and he seems like a genuine person. I've been here for a while and watched. I'll donate. The OT is a place where you have to have the thickest of skins to survive, but in true times of need, all of us heathens still have hearts.

Thank you all, so very much, for helping Phil in his time of need. In one day you have donated over $10,000 to help one of our own.
We all come from different backgrounds, live in different places, and likely don’t really know each other...but this place has shown how awesome it is when one of us needs help.
Thanks to Chicken for creating and maintaining this place, but thank you all for developing this culture that will make fun of you at the drop of a hat and be as sarcastic as can be, but also support you when you need it and help you through your time of need.
