why would anyone care about this enough to know their time? We had to run a sub 6 or 7 minute time for football but I don't know or remember the actual time.

~7:00s in high school when I was around 185.
Fastest I've run it since I've been >200? Around 8.

Never ran just one mile.
Army PT test was a two mile run. I would finish in 12:30...but I was around 140 at the time.

Air Force sports day completion shite between the squadrons, no prep for it, no notice, and my legs were on fire from doing a leg day the day before.
My mile and a half was right around 8:40 at that time

I don't remember my exact time but I think I got it down to 6:00 plus or minus 5-10 seconds when I was a freshman in college. I think I was 145 lbs back then. Super skinny

How tall are you? 220 @ 6'8" is a lot different than 220 @ 5'8".
And for the record, I have never timed a mile run.

If you ran a < 7 minute mile but you weigh less than 200lbs then it doesn't really count and you're automatically penalize 3 minutes
BTW way to try to legitimize your participation trophy

I always feel like races should be categorized based on weight instead of age.
Some races have this. It is called the Clydesdale division.

Probably around 8:45 during a 10K. 6', 197#

Just under 5 minutes. 195.
I used to run a lot. Definitely could not even crack 6:30 right now.

how fast can you run it smoking a cigarette and chugging a 40 before it, though?
Only a few will get this reference.
Who was the poster that did it?
Who was the poster that lost the bet?
Does anyone still have a link to the video?
