If you ran a < 7 minute mile but you weigh less than 200lbs then it doesn't really count and you're automatically penalize 3 minutes.

That's how this goes? Then I squated 500lbs in junior high.

4:32, but I used to race the mile when I ran track in high school. I only weighed 145 then.

That was 29 years ago... and I weigh 245 now. So I run around 9:00 now. And it's not pretty.

6:32 at 205-210. It was in a sprint tri. Got tired of people passing me and hammered down the last bit. Then there were spectators all along the last guarter to half mile. Though I was gonna die. Prior to that it was 7:05 I think.

Now? Bout 14:32. frick running.

6:40 at the Freedom Mile in downtown BR a few years ago.

I was hauling (as a 30+ semi fatass), but it's almost cheating, because you can see the finish clock when you start. It's pretty easy to push yourself when you know precisely where the end is.

Still damn near died.

They are approximations of old memories. There is a plus/minus of 2 minutes...all on the plus side.

Ran a 5:11 in high school weighing around 170ish. Not sure how fast I could do just one mile alone now but weigh around 190 and averaged just under a 9:00/mile over 26.2 a year ago. Got the sticker to prove it.

5:26 as a senior in high school. Weighed about 175lbs.
Played basketball and soccer so i was in really good shape. I stopped by the track during the summer just to see how fast i could run it. That was the last time i ran a clocked mile.

If i ran it today, 15 years later, 80lbs heavier, i'd be lucky to get it under 8:00, and even luckier if i could do it without stopping at least once.

4:40 - Senior year of HS ('83) at a studly 140 pounds.

Now I'm 51, 5'10", 180 and struggle to break 8 minutes; I did a 7:55 last fall at the track in City Park. Getting old sucks.
