My child doesn't understand pronouns to this degree, fricking despises masks and we are having to battle how to not teach what race is to him because his best friend from pre-school was kicked out for say she doesn't want to be friends with a person that has brown skin.
So maybe I'm just teaching my child to be tolerant of other people. If this teacher is a nice person and good teacher and my son likes them as a teacher that is legit all I care about at this point.

Without agreeing or disagreeing with the general idea, this person thinks they are a woman (or non-binary). This means the "Mr.-Ms." distinction is important to them.
If you had a biologically female teacher who identified as a lesbian female, it wouldn't be the same thing as having a biologically female teacher who identified as a straight male.
Note: I am not advocating for or against. Just pointing out a difference.
