Very very true.

I have 3 boys (7, 10, and 10) and they would appear to be destined for collegiate oline duty one day as they are big, rangy kids. They haven't begun tackle football, and I am delaying it as long as possible to minimize head impacts as well as allowing their bodies to develop. When they do strap on the pads, I will be a nervous wreck......I am overly protective.

My son snapped his femur in two when he was three, then spent the entire summer in a spica cast being pulled around in a wagon. He took it like a real trooper.

shite I milked it when I broke my arm. There was a girl that took my notes for me in class and took my tests. I had to give her the answers but she'd coreect me when I was wrong. Good times.

So much truth.

The last time I remember really, full waterworks, crying was when my 4 yr old daughter split her chin completely open. The ER doc asked if we wanted to sedate her for the stitches, I asked with what, he said "kettamine" (no shite), I said NOPE.

So having to hold that little girl in a blanket burrito while he stiched her up was absolutely miserable. Screaming for her and full waterworks for me. My dads death didn't even produce that many tears.

hen he was sitting in the bed in the ER half out from pain meds, I kept telling myself I was thankful it's not something serious. I was thinking about all the parents that have gone through exactly what you did. I can't imagine the feeling and I hope I never have to. Hope your kid is all better now.

It was 30 yrs ago, she gave us a grand kid 7 months ago!!!!

Tell your kid the medical bills are coming out of his allowance. The tears will flow from the tough little guy

I don't have children but I do have a dog. One time she got a bacteria infection on her face and I cried like a baby.

My daughter has a bad mix of being quite fearless while also being quite clumsy so it's my fear she may reach this milestone.

I'm worried about my son's head once he gets the surgical helmet off. He's only 7 months old but quickly learning that banging his head on stuff doesn't hurt.

Man, I can see how that would be an issue. Hopefully when he does figure out that banging his head hurts it won't be by banging it too hard on something.

I am convinced that if kids aren't taught to cry when they're hurt, they won't

pretty sure by the time they're capable of language, they already understand the attention crying can get them

babies fake cry when nothing is wrong solely to get attention. it's ingrained in all of us at a young age

That's usually what will make them stop doing it. Let em headbutt the corner of a table, they'll learn.
