That's usually what will make them stop doing it. Let em headbutt the corner of a table, they'll learn.

True but she said her kid has been wearing a surgical helmet so I'm guessing the kid has some medical issues that might make something like this a bit more of an issue that usually is the case. Plus like she said, by having been in this helmet, this kid has been learning that it does not hurt to bang their head on something.

But man, when it's my right hand man immobilized and in pain, it hits me pretty hard.

When Pimp Jr was five he hurt his thumb and the finger nail popped off. He was in so much pain that he was shaking like it was 30 below. The pain completely overwhelmed his little body. Once we got him calmed down, had his thumb bandaged up, and put him in bed to sleep it off-I went into the bathroom and cried like a baby. It freaked me out to see him so overwhelmed with pain.

Your kids man. If you could carry the load, you would....

So having to hold that little girl in a blanket burrito while he stiched her up was absolutely miserable. Screaming for her and full waterworks for me. My dads death didn't even produce that many tears.

My two year old fell and broke is front tooth in half. Never cried. Ate food like it was nothing. Brought him to a dentist said they could remove it then with local anesthetic or schedule hospital visit and put him completely under. Chose local because you just here horror stories about complete.
None of it bothers hi until they strapped him down in the burrito. I don't think I could ever get the sound of him crying "Me outta here" out of my head. Hurts more than any injury I've ever personally endured.

Poor kid. Your reaction though is totally understandable. There's no worse feeling than when your little one is suffering and there's not much you can do to make it stop hurting.
