Sorry...on the IH8MUD.com site...they refer to Bring a Trailer as BAT. They are frequently posting BAT Land Cruiser listings on there.

Follow a lot of auctions through www.proxibid.com
They link to auctions all over the US form cars, farm equipment, to guns and jewelry. I’ve followed for years and purchased a gin through this sight from a firearms auction in Tampa.
Through this site I found the GAA Auto Auction in Greensboro NC. They run several a year and everything that comes through looks nice. Don’t have the guts to buy a car at an on line auction yet, but enjoy looking.

Was just looking to see what they have for GMT400 Burbs and came across this in the sold listings.
1998 4x4 2500 Burb powered by the Vortec 454 with 321 miles.
Sold for $81,555
Lots of them selling in the $20-30s.

"The six-digit odometer shows 321 miles. An 2010 Carfax report entry notes the mileage at 100K."
Whats up with that?

An error of some sort. The seller addressed it in the comments.
Look at the pictures of the chassis. That thing is brand new.
The link I forgot to post first time around.
I don't get why they put different wheels/tires on it.
Very expensive Burb when new in 1998.
Frankly, I won't be surprised if the new owner, who claims he plans to drive it as a daily, doesn't have to fix a lot of stuff on it. It is not good for seals and such to sit for such long periods as this truck obviously did. Rubber dry rots, so bushings and shite will fail.
Years ago a guy I know bought a Cadillac that was about 7 years old but only had 1500 miles on it. Had to replace all kinds of stuff as the seals dried out and leaked.

BAT is addictive. I check it everyday.
I’ve bought two cars and a trailer through them. I’ve been high bidder on two others that didn’t make reserve.
They do a good job showing the car to a wide audience. Their fees are much less than Bonhom’s or Sotheby’s. Comments from people who know cars and know the marque are hugely valuable for ferreting out the problem cars from the gems. Sometimes the bids go high if you have two or more people who really want; other times there is not much interest and they go cheap or don’t meet reserve.
A lot of private sellers but also some high-end dealers such as Hyman Ltd.
I’ve been happy with everything I bought through them. Conversely, I have been completely ripped off by a dealer in Connecticut and a car museum in the U.K. Buying classic cars is a risky business. Values are down - except for Ferrraris and muscle cars.
I have 10 cars ranging from 1901 to 1957. For cars that fit my interests, it’s a buyer’s market. That also means I’m not making any money on this. It’s worth it though because I like to drive and show unique cars. The car community is a great group of people whether you’re talking a local cars and coffee or a full-blown concours d’Elegance like Amelia Island.

Not actively...but I'm always kind of looking for a nice FJ40 or FJ60/62.

Yes.
And don't forget an onsite cursory inspection of the vehicle complete with start-up, detailed photos beneath the under-carriage, engine bay and drivers seat (to gauge wear & tear.)
Also...assume a worst-case scenario for repairs when bidding.

Old Porsches are disgustingly expensive.
I am looking at lotus exige and it’s hard to find one that isn’t modded

Very much so. Lot of scammers out there. Buyer beware, do your research and bid accordingly.

Yes it is. Are you a member of the AACA? It is a great resource for automotive history, tech information, hard to find parts and even social gatherings around the country.
The library is awesome.

Kind of want. Has that Chromeillusion paint that was hot in the late 90s on it. Check out how it's different colors in different pics. The guy spent a fortune on painting this thing.
Claims it has 7.5 gallons of clear on it.
It's 26' long with the extended cab added to the crew cab and 2' added to the 8' box.
