https://www.nola.com/news/2018/11/dotd-to-open-single-lane-of-traffic-on-sunshine-bridge.html

quote:

Transportation officials plan to open one lane of traffic in each direction on the Sunshine Bridge in Donaldsonville, which has been under repair for more than a month after a barge struck part of the structure.

Crews have begun installing concrete barriers on the westbound side of the bridge in order to open a lane of traffic in each direction, according to an update provided by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Traffic should resume by mid-December, the update states.

Why? Because if they put it out there that people will be able to use it by a certain date, once that time comes and goes and it's still not useable that would only create more people to complain.

They had a date right after the accident. It was never a mystery

Maybe you missed some of the details they were talking about or you misheard them. I think it’s creepy and weird for someone to just sit in a restaurant and listen to other people’s conversations so intently and worse that it affected you enough to start a thread about it.

1 lane 1 wreck, Clusterfrick, but it is comforting to know it always will be that same ole clusterfrick we are all so familiar with anyway. Kinda warms the cockles.

Every day, at home, between the time I get home from work and the time I fall asleep.

BTW, you are correct. The people you allegedly overheard have no clue what they are talking about.

Actually no, I find more than 50% of the information/ discussions and people are valuable information and very talented people. Even with the crudeness and joking. Too bad Cluckster can't monetize all of the board :)

I gotcha. I thought you were setting up a joke or something.

And I do agree, there is a lot more value in the discussions on the board. Mainly because everyone is kept in check. You can't just post some bullshite and people takes it and runs with it.

If there is some type of local current event, for example, a poster can't just come in and say "my nephew's best friend's mother is friends with such and such and she told me that _________" and people automatically consider that information to be facts. You have to justify your source to some degree.. With that said, there are also a lot of conspiracy theorist here, but at least that makes you think...

Inherited is the word you are looking for there OweO. Yes, it is the DNA, drywall and small steering wheel envy.

You ever been somewhere, like at a restaurant... And you overhear the people next to you talking about something and just about everything they are saying is wrong?

For example, you and someone else go to a restaurant and there are three guys sitting at the table next to you and they are talking about... Let's say the damage to the Sunshine bridge

This is very confusing. Did you hear this exact conversation or is this just an example?
