It’s called the constitution a-hole. Maybe you should read it. We’ve ruined 10 million lives already, at least let people pray.

There are also a shite ton of people at City and Audubon Parks all day not socially distancing.

It's staggering how some people aren't cooperating.

The church wackos and the park wackos are going to extend this bullshite.

They can pray from their homes, or be thrown into a lion's den.

Yup if all these assholes just remained in their homes as much as possible for the next few weeks we'd be able actually enjoy the summer

This minister's actions do nothing to address the concerns you're talking about. He doesn't even pretend to be dealing with that.

People who think this is standing up for constitutional rights also misunderstand the Constitution. There's no freedom of religion issue, and freedom of assembly/association always comes with limits. It's why we have fire codes limiting building capacity.

Holy shite. This is how dictatorships start- a willingness to give up one’s (God-given) rights for a little “protection”. I’ve devoted my entire adult life to supporting and defending the constitution- I will not stop now.

its the weak minded Christians (not the sensible ones) endangering the public because they dont want to play by rules.

..maybe Revelations is all just a self fulfilling prophecy, and their persecution is deserved.

Whatever happened to the premise that God helps those who help themselves? In this case helping yourself means Googling "church Coronavirus outbreaks in the United States." Hell, one church service in Sacramento alone spread it to seventy people. If God is really all seeing and all knowing he'll understand the decision to sit a few prayer services out.

This why you were a grunt and not a general. The Supreme Court has already said these emergency powers are constitutional.

“You people”? You mean freedom-loving Americans? I haven’t been to church myself for years, but would defend to the death the right of people to worship how they choose.

When exactly did we litigate the wholesale shutting down of private enterprise, curtailing the right of people to assemble, and attend and houses of worship in entire states? I must have missed that one...

Start with the quarantine cases and work your way into the multitude of cases that have upheld the granting of powers to the executive in times of declared emergency. Grab some time, place and manner restrictions for your reading list too.

Employment division v. smith would also be a good read for you.
