Driving on South Harrells Ferry. Bike lanes being painted. 15 years here and I've yet to see anyone biking here along this stretch. The frick is the point?

maybe they don't bike there because there are no bike lanes

There are sidewalks.... equally not utilized.

Wait until the bikes are in the traffic lanes after the bike lanes are marked. Then you’ll know what anger is.
When that happens, remember that your taxes paid for the bike lanes.

Bike lanes are selling points for realtors to attract prospective homebuyers.

How are the homeless hobos going to roll their shopping carts from underpass to underpass without bike lanes?

Bike Lanes are a virtue signal for hipsters.

I rode bikes all over the city in the 1980s.
Today with everyone on their phone I wouldn't think of doing that.

Could be worse. There's a few bike bath in Nola eliminated turning lanes causing traffic to back up at the intersections. They're at stop lights and the bike path just ends. It doesn't cross the intersection. It doesn't turn down the main street. It's just a 3ft fricking bike lane dead end.

Bike lanes are great for a city. It’s crazy how few of them exist around LSU
