This seems like the appropriate thread to post this story about one of those businesses that was looted in downtown Cleveland.

This is straight up terrorism at this point.
They tried to pull this in Youngstown on a smaller scale but it was shutdown pretty quickly with arrests. The main thoroughfare through Boardman was also shutdown and businesses have been closing early as a precaution. The only thing I have heard is there was a group of people throwing rocks/bricks off of the 680 overpass which is also now shutdown.

If there is anywhere in Cleveland that won't put up with Antifa/rioters its Little Italy. The trash element from East Cleveland won't go anywhere near there during the Feast. It was mobster central back in the day and I'm sure is still connected.

...and we don't have a "racist" bone in our bodies. As we have supervised, been supervised by folks of all races on our climb to our piece of the pie. We live by the "treat others yourself" guidance, but that doesn't mean if I'm walking the streets of the FQ or downtown CLE, later than usual, with my wife and/or kids and a couple hooded young guns come my way. I may not cross the street, but my spidey seances are on alert.

True, but not to level of the FQ mafia in the 50's-70's that controlled crime and gave the people the vices they wanted. Those were the days.

Flying from NOLA to Cleveland Sunday evening for appointments at Cleveland Clinic next week. We will be picking up a rental car at the airport and driving to the Holiday Inn on the campus of Cleveland Clinic.
Any advice r/t driving route to avoid riots and problem areas would be appreciated.
