A core issue here is that the subject of this thread is a group of radicals who claim a genocide of innocents is happening as we speak. And that group is simultaneously celebrating a separate slaughter, which doesn't count because those people weren't innocents.
Yes.
It works both ways. But you don't seem to see it, when you say:

It's a shortcut for many on the right. If pressed to it, maybe they'd tell you they disagree generally with calling for the death of groups of people on US streets without consequence.
Apparently, neither 'side' is against the death of innocent people, but they each admonish the other for it.

Rationalize murder of innocence all you want.
That’s it. That’s the statement. If you can live with that, go ahead.
I’m not a fan, personally, of innocent children dying, while a dictator(Netanyahu, in case you missed it) tries to justify it by borders that haven’t existed in 2000+ years, if at all. Jesus said turn the other cheek right?
Not “kill all the innocents for some shite Europeans wrote 1000 years after I died.”
If he even existed at all.

How is innocence calculated so we are all on the same page?

Not really sure how you deduced that since you brought an unrelated topic and a handful of comments by people I don't know on this board, many of whom I've probably called fake conservatives
But if the idea here is that self-proclaimed conservatives can be hypocritical, obviously that's the case.
Typically I don't think these arguments work for the partisans "oh you don't care about babies killed in Palestine huh?" is undermined by the fact the speaker didn't care that children and innocents were killed by Palestinians in the attacks, etc.

What do you think Israel should have done in response to the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th? Why does Hamas keep rejecting the ceasefires?

I think carpet bombing/shelling an entire urban center, complete with universities, markets, residences, etc may have been a slight over-reaction.
Oh and Ib4 someone mentions the “evacuations.”
You try and evacuate 1 million+ people in a week or two and see how that plays out.

In all seriousness they/them believe Israel, as the aggressor and oppressor in the power dynamic, should count the October 7 attacks as the costs of doing business and the harsh but earned results of their imperialist/colonizer influence in the region. But for Israel's oppression and Euro-white supremacy that comes with it, none of the stuff we're talking about, being slaughter of Jews, persecution of gays, etc. would exist.

Why does Hamas keep rejecting the extremely favorable ceasefires?

If a side must be chosen then I will choose that side. One wants to drag all infidels to the stone age or death. The other is the only Democracy in the region. I wish there were no battle but the Palestinians proved over the last few decades that they were lying every time they said they wanted Peace. President Clinton managed to get the Isrealis to bend on several issues and Arafat kept moving the bar. The Palestinians do not want peace. They want submission.

Hilarious watching people feign surprise at what academia has become
You can’t even really call it academia any longer because they’ve long since dropped all pretext of providing anything resembling an actual education. What they do now is overt political indoctrination in radical Maoist Communism.
(I say Maoist because the methods used now far more resembles Mao’s style of Marxism than Lenin’s.)

When your government declares war, whether by word or deed, then you get to enjoy the consequences of it. After 10/7, anything less than the total eradication of Hamas would have been an under reaction. Hamas has to surrender, or at the very least accept a ceasefire.

Seems like the Ivy League colleges in this country are trying to model themselves after the University of Vienna in 1938.
