Mine are soon to be 14 and 17.

Tonight I remember the times I lamented putting toys together ala Santa himself.....those years were golden. That is when magic was true.

I am grateful for my boys. I am grateful for every blessing we have. But, I have to admit.......I miss the littles.

You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're gonna miss this

You don't remember the pain and the frustration
Only the joy that you saw in their faces

You blink (or in my case wink) and they are 5. Then they are 10. And soon enough they are sweet and little anymore.

Cherish it. All of it.

Mine are 6 and twins that are soon to be 2. Already makes me sad to imagine them being big kids

I put together a 50s style kitchen for my daughter 10 years ago when she was 3.

That son of a bitch had 700 pieces between parts and screws. I don't miss putting shite like that together, but when she wakes up tomorrow her smile won't match the one she had 10 years ago.

Complete BS. I remember the frustration of finding the toys and putting them together at midnight.

The joy makes it worth it. But you WILL remember the pain and frustration.

I take a lot of shite for granted, but for some reason I love every agonizing second of the early years Christmas. Tonight was a thrill as always, waiting for the kids to sleep so we can set up the Santa gifts. I will absolutely miss it when they grow older, but I'm grateful to recognize it now.

My only is 5 months old. We are about to celebrate his first Xmas.

I put together a walky talky walker. :)

You never know how much parents love their children, until you have one of your own.

My kids are 23, 21, 20 now and we had some magic Santa years when they were younger but I ain't gonna lie getting up after a good night sleep and a good breakfast is fantastic. I just give them money now so no stress for Christmas shopping either. Anyway folks enjoy the Santa years with the kids those are the best.

My son is 20 now and I miss the look of amazement on his face on Christmas morning when he was little. The long nights and all the assembling of stuff was totally worth it. Although Christmas morning is still awesome because the wife and I can still surprise him, nothing can take the place of the "look" on Christmas morning.

Congrats, George. He's about to be a fantastic age. 6-18 months is prime time. Then they either start to be assholes or keep being cool. That's up to you.

Oldest found out the truth this year but she took it like a champion and is now in the inner circle. She had a blast setting up Santa gifts for the 2 younger brothers.

Did you use the instructions or did you freelance building that doll house? I was a freelancer back in the day. I would look at the picture on the box and go for it. I had a 75% success rate but man when I fuked up it took alot longer than it should have to put it together.
