I'm currently with SiriusXM, but I will probably cancel shortly. Too many adds on several channels, and on the music channels, lots of interuptions with DJs or artists talking.

Get the lifetime contract. It pays for itself pretty quickly.

I got in on the Sirius lifetime subscription years ago. Before the merge. Best $500 I ever spent. Grandfathered in with the merger as well. Pretty sure they don't offer the lifetime subscription offer anymore though.

How does that make me poor? If the lower rate is available, then that’s what the product is worth. I’m not paying the full price when the lower rate is able to be negotiated.

Even if they let you cancel, you’ll get an email with the promo rate a couple weeks later.

I cancelled a few months ago and the lady wouldn’t let me off the phone she was haggling me so much. I cancelled because like a previous poster said the rehashed songs, signal would drop frequently, and I’m now paying for Apple Music. Apple Music and podcasts are all I need.

I didn’t directly threaten to cancel. I just said I enjoyed it but not enough to pay the renewal price they quoted. Could she do any better? She knocked it down about 50% for a one year renewal. I asked for a deal on streaming and got that added for about $20.
Ive read of folks getting deeper discounts after more aggressive haggling, but I was good with that for 5 Minutes of painless talking.

I've got Lifetime subscriptions on 2 vehicles.
Now, due to some fineprint shite that was changed a few years back, the lifetime subscription is only for that radio. Had it been a XM radio (one bought from their website, e.g.), they would allow a transfer of the lifetime membership.
However, my, along with probably 98% of everyone else, radio is a auto factory radio that had XM preinstalled on it. These are NOT eligible for lifetime membership transfer.
Nonetheless, I've had both vehicles for nearly 10 years average and paid $400/ each for the subscriptions.

You don't. I have the premier plan on a trial right now for 6 months and it cost me $50. Rolls over to $11 per month after the trial.

I got a year for like $5 per month so it’s totally worth it. I mostly have it for MLB and the college sports channels.
