In the situation you described, I would have shared my uber to the airport. And I think the guy is an arse for not doing so.

Maybe he thought you were gay and was gonna hit on him for action on the way to the airport?

Maybe he thought you were not gay and wouldn’t be up for some action on the way the airport?

Dick move, but also understandable. No one going to airport at 4am wants to be bothered even if a stranger is having a problem. Still shitty, but still logical. Still a beta move.

How did you get to airport on time?

Just got lucky that another driver popped up at the right time. Very few working that time of the morning.

When my guy canceled there was no one available.

I rise with the sunrise. But my boy is fast asleep at 4 am. Not many want action at that time.

Would not share.

Unless you were a great looking business woman.

You know when you see it.

We were leaving our resort in Cancun a few years ago and were waiting outside the resort for our scheduled transportation to the airport. While we were waiting, another couple was also waiting for their transport. They had been waiting a lot longer than us. Our transport arrived and I offered for them to ride with us to airport. They accepted and were grateful as they would have missed their flight.

Just depends on what the other people look like and what situation I am in for me to ask or offer something like that. I think you are not wrong in asking.

Sounds like a dick move but anonymously no one here can say for sure. Maybe something about your appearance triggered it? I wouldn’t overthink it unless you want to post a pic. And I don’t think you or us care that much.

Also, he blamed it on the driver. Said the Uber driver wouldn’t let him. Now that’s clearly bullshite.

How so? Isnt it ultimately the driver's call to make?

I'm no Uber regular but how would you pay for your own ride after ride sharing? Doesn't everything have to be preplanned by the app?

Seems like a pertinent detail to leave out of the op.

PLOT TWIST:

Bubba is on my flight. Won’t make eye contact.

That legit made me

I probably would have let you pay for it. Especially if I expensed that Uber ride, and you gave me cash. Profit, biatches.

But I’m tired of dudes being pussies. Maybe you all can help me understand.

It all depends on you.

If you're saying "beta" and "tired of dudes being pussies" and I catch a whiff of that shite, absolutely not.

Also, just probably not in general. I've had way too many druggie family members play the "let me get a ride card" and I just don't do it anymore.

In fact, the only scenario in which I'd let you share an Uber is if we were talking beforehand, you seemed cool and then I see that your Uber cancels.

Why does the driver care or even know when ordered if its 2 or even 3 total riders??

And I read the OPs "I'll pay for it" as he'll give him the cash, and full fare.

That's not the point. If you're the type of person who says that stuff, and I get that sense, I don't want to be around you.

I'm pretty sure that whoever books the Uber is responsible for what happens in the Uber so I'd be a bit weary of having some random hop in the Uber with me, cause a wreck or something, then they hold me accountable because it's associated and booked with my account.

Like imagine if the rando robs you and the driver and you're like "sorry, no clue who that was". A prime example would be how they can charge you like $200 for puking in the ride. Imagine if you let someone ride, they blow chunks, and you're stuck with a 1 star rating and a $200 cleaning fee.
