Just getting back home.... that's an idea I didn't think of that our league should consider. Have the pitchers wear protective gear. I guess I see why they don't, most kids can't hit it fast at that age, but I'm seriously concerned he may hurt someone.
And to the guy joking about juicing, supposedly sprinting and sleeping naturally release HGH. He loves to play and has always ran around, just happened to be at the mall then movies last month and had two different random guys stop us to suggest we put him in track. A month ago I didn't even know it existed that young, but after seeing the local scene the last few weeks, I can tell you something is going on. The young sprinters get swole. Or they already are.

I hope this guy knocks you out and rips your wife while forcing your son to watch.

The biggest thing you can do is the following:
1. Publicly put his name out there. The OT is a great place to start.
2. Beat his fricking arse!

quote:the very first time a coach argues with umps in a tball game with 4-6 year olds, he should be banned from coaching. No 2nd chances, because let's be honest, any person who does that one time has no business being around and coaching kids that age.
These kids are 4-6 years old

Agreed. Sportsmanship, teamwork, patience. Those are the three things I hope my son and his friends take from the season.

I agree with you and I'd also like to add that in sports and in life, confidence, leadership, respect and being humble are the keys I teach my kids that will open doors and help them to be sucessful in life and in sports.

Parents are the WORST part of any team sport involving kids or teenagers.

That's too broad of a brush you're using to paint the parents.
The vast majority of us have good intentions and positively impact kids.

About 60 % of all little league coaches are asshats

I plan to ask why he behaves the way he does in front of kids and why hasn't anyone from the league talked to him about it.
Dude, you sound like the biggest P ever.

He doesn't want there to be a record of what he is going to tell you. It's not going to go the way you have played it out in your head.
You would be better off to just tell the guy to frick off. Thank him for giving you the opportunity to tech your child how to properly act in the face of adversity.

I didn't say all parents were terrible. I said the worst part of all sports involving kids and teenagers are the parents. There are some that are a great asset. Most are not.

Maybe. I think a lot of times parents lose any kind of self awareness when it comes to the way they act in the stands, talk to and about their coaches, and behave towards officials or umpires.
It's sad. A parent's job is to provide positive reinforcement and encouragement. Unfortunately, a lot of parents spend more time complaining than they do trying to help (or they think they're helping by complaining).

Worst I've seen is from an AAU coach but then again that's big kids.
