Go back and read your first post. It sounds trashy af. Like your wife went to and screamed and threatened to give an "arse whipping" to a woman who merely cut eyes at your child who you couldn't keep under control.

No one can possibly know in the instant that your kid has some disorder.

an 8 year old little girl was fussed at by a complete stranger for cheering for her team at a baseball game, now she doesn't want to cheer anymore much less probably doesn't want to go to anymore games...what would you call it?
I call it bullshite, she'll be fine. She was probably annoying and now will think about her impact on others before she becomes annoying again. Probably better than a few individual therapy sessions. Every kid needs to be corrected by a stranger once in awhile. It's a valuable lesson that you aren't special and the apple of everyone's eye.

Like the fact that even a few therapy sessions wouldn't help considering she has a diagnosed condition you fricking moron

The equivalent of me telling your child with down syndrome that he just needs to study harder after failing a test designed for children without a handicap

I already addressed that in an earlier post.

Nope, not even close.

All I heard/saw was the woman say, “That’s enough!” I need to see what was happening before that to make a ruling.

I think her being special needs is irrelevant. With that said, she was an 8 year old at a baseball game cheering for her team. I wouldn't want to make a scene in front of my kid so I would have gone talk to her and tell her to eat a dick and that next time she has a problem with a kid, instead of acting like a complete fricktard she needs to take it up with the kid's parents.

But the video really just shows the little girl appearing to be somewhat upset. It's really kind of hard to make a judgement without seeing exactly how things went down.

You have no idea what the girl was doing. A stern "that's enough" is not a big deal. Ots no wonder we have so many self-absorbed young people these days. They think no one should correct them.

If you watch the entire news story, the kid is over iit and wants to go back.

Well, according to the video she was cheering...At a Game.. fricks sakes open you ears..

It's not?? That's someone else's kid address the parent not the child. This ain't rocket surgery..

Has nothing at all to do with this.. That's onus is on the parent's and parents lack of actual parenting.. coupled with many other things in this day and age.

And that's great, hopefully her parents told her that there are some shitty people in this world and don't let that stand in the way of things you love.

Done.

Your opinion. But obviously I can't encompass the entire situation in a message board post. As I stated, this kind of thing isn't the norm.

quote:

Like your wife went to and screamed

Ummm....maybe YOU need to reread. That was never said. She never left the table, never screamed. She audibly made the comment that the looks and the comments had better stop. I said arse whipping was mentioned.

quote:

a woman who merely cut eyes at your child who you couldn't keep under control.

It wasn't just "cutting eyes". I made that clear. And the child was under control. He was loud. And if you go out into public places and don't expect that you might encounter such a thing, I don't know what to tell you. We did our part by trying to keep it to a minimum and seat ourselves away from other guests.

quote:

No one can possibly know in the instant that your kid has some disorder.

Again, when you pay attention, you can figure these things out and not make yourself out to be a dick. I take it you're that guy that bitches whenever you get seated near a loud group in a restaurant?

No, but when my kid is loud and interrupting everyone else's meal, I don't let him sit there and continue to scream acting like everything is fine. I'll take him outside till he chills out

Think a little deeper and consider that maybe the parents and the media have not been completely forthcoming.

You don't know if she didn't address the parents first. Secondly, so what if it's someone else's kid? She didn't curse at the kid.

You're actually making an argument for me. It's probable that the parents weren't parenting in this instance. The fact that so many think a stranger can't offer a mild correction to another's child is a tip off that the kids grow up believing they are beyond reproach.
quote:

Hopefully they didn't tell her that blame avoidant bullshite and helped her understand that she lives in a society where she is not special by virtue of her existence and that she is capable of being an annoyance to others.

Why the frick do the news agencies send someone to the park to do the report ? She is standing outside of it at night when no game is playing. What is the point of that ?

His screaming isn't a perpetual thing. He just does it momentarily when he's happy. It's all he could do at that time. He doesn't throw tantrums and that's not what this was. If that's the case, I'm with you. I take them out to chill.

Again, you aren't going to get the whole picture through a message board, so let's call it a day, shall we?

With the video evidence presented that womens lazy bitchiness says otherwise. You serious?? Please go angrily say some stupid shite to someones child and see where that gets you..and by all means don't use any cussing..

Ummm what?? No, You made a broad generalization and you also have to take into account the situation and place. Also, being adult does not at all give you any right to just correct random strangers child as one sees fit..

You're being naive. The media changes things to their liking as they see fit. Additionally, you don't know if the parents are being honest we've got one side of the story.

The video is about 10 seconds, hardly the entire story. I've had people correct two of my three kids in public in the past and they deserved it. I punished them after for being out of line after we got home. I have corrected a kid or two in public myself. Once when no parent was available to speakbwith and another when the parent did nothing to correct the situation. Are you suggesting I would get punched doing that? That would be the response from a trashy enabling parent.

This has nothing to do with rights, but as I said, if it's needed I'll do it.

No im not. I took more that 2 seconds to look for this story elsewhere. The recording was inadvertently captured givinf less suspicion of a setup as well as other details.. IE the little girl was only yelling "swing batter".. I that women didnt like it she can feel free to leave. If there was a greater disruption then theres always an officer nearby.. But thinking you're going to correct someones child while a parent around is laughable at best.. Thats a real good way to find your way to an ER..

You must hang around some trashy enabling parents. As I said I've done it before and nothing happened. It has happened to my kids and the stranger was correct.
