Man this whole situation sucks for wrestlemania. It all feels empty and incomplete without asses in seats to watch and give that energy to create those moments people look forward to. I really feel for someone like McIntyre who finally gets his moment and its all snuffed out by a situation outside of his control.
I don't follow wwe too consistently but tune into ppv's and big weekly episodes occasionally. I have a question for all of you who watch consistently and know the ins and outs way more than I do. Have they thought about a way to try and have a "virtual" audience? As in using something similar to a Skype or zoom interface where they could "project" fans live faces onto a screen and have their reactions be pumped through the speakers in the performance center?

Tonight is probably better than what tomorrow night will bring. I think the FFFH match is going to be similar to the Orton-Bray match a few years back. The women's match will be a botch fest. The wild card is the NXT championship...I hope HHH was given full control of how it's booked. I suspected tonight would ho one of two ways and it's obvious they put on the stronger card tonight to entice the pay-per-night crowd to buy it tomorrow night.
tomorrow's got 3 women's matches... Liv/Nattie on the preshow, 5-way SD Women's elimination match, Ripley/Charlotte... I hope they don't slow down the show too much
but tomorrow should be fairly even to tonight
FFFH match should be equivalent to Taker/AJ
Orton/Edge should be on the level with KO/Seth
Lesnar/McIntyre should be miles better than Strowman/Goldberg
Otis/Dolph is perhaps the best "story" in WWE currently
hopefully Black/Lashley are able to put on a good match that we know they can (if Lashley even got back to the States and out of quarantine)
the Raw Tag Title Match lost a lot with the circumstances at hand (considering Andrade's injury)
tomorrow night has a good look about it

I heard there was consideration of something like that... but nothing ever came of it

I can't see that being good. AEW had it figured out when they were able to have a few guys at ringside, especially MJF, yelling and making noise and just having fun.

It started slow but there were a few solid matches tonight. The lack of atmosphere kills the magic, but kudos for putting in the effort and pulling out a pretty good show overall.
The Boneyard Match I loved, peak zany wrestling right there! I can’t help but wonder if Broken Matt gave some pointers on this and the FFH match. Really fun end to the night and easily the best Taker has looked since probably his Punk match

They have they even sent a survey out to fans with screenshots of what it might look like. I don't think they could have pulled it together for WM but maybe the next PPV or TV tapings if it comes to that.
My problem with it is you still will miss the overall hugeness of the total crowds reaction. You will get the single expressions and maybe sound from the boxes around the action....Im skeptical of how it would play out but I'm certainly willing to give it a shot.

Which they since had to stop correct?....because of the new-ish 10 person gathering govt regulation.

they had people around ringside this past Wednesday
I mean Dr. Baker was there eating a chicken sandwich and beating people up with a high heel shoe

Oh I see.....I don't watch that show but I read that was the case....I stand corrected.

Next question is does Braun Strowman have the chops to help carry a title feud with the Fiend for 2 or more PPV cycles?
ETA I mean that's they way they have to go at this point right.....OR do they do something less "hot" until this Corona deal is in the rearview....I could see that.
ETA2 They should use it to get over a new heel on SmackDown.

WWE only has enough stuff in the can to get us through NXT on Wednesday
if WWE can't do anything new for SD... Braun may be an uncontested champion for a long time
if the corona stuff keeps up until late summer or autumn... WWE will have essentially a completely clean slate to work with
ETA: and I stand by my earlier suggestion of a fatal 4-way...
Strowman defending against Fiend, Goldberg, & Reigns
that match has a million potential stories written in it right there as an immediate title match coming back from the virus

They say they have it worked out where they can still tape shows at the Performance Center as long as they follow the governments decrees of what is safe.
They have post mania storylines in the can for Raw day after tomorrow that are going to air according to insiders.

I don't love that....BUT coming out of Corona j could live with it if it gets us to the Strowman v Fiend longer term angle.

correct... they have through NXT Wednesday
it's when they get to Smackdown on Friday where the questions come up

Im with you on the first part since WM requires months of planning and this shutdown being a few weeks old really messed that up and they had to think on the fly. Bright side, as small as it may be, is that this situation also afforded them the opportunity to tape matches like taker and aj and add some "production value" to it. As for the second part, what if they could get 2 or 3 thousand people to live stream reactions from? Would that be a large enough amount of people to give feedback to the wrestlers? I'd be willing to bet that they could easily get a couple thousand, if not 10x more, fans to live stream reactions. I'm guessing the main issue would be having the proper interface that could handle that kind of data/traffic and giving real time feedback?

BUT the rumor was they were going to cut those storylines from Raw Monday if they couldn't tape new shows after that.....and apparently it's been worked out. It could be complete bullshite like most dirtsheets are most of the time but I can't imagine they wouldn't be able to find somewhere to tape.

The logistics of making that work are starting to overwhelm me

yeah that would be the ultimate play
Fiend gets the title rematch he never got
Reigns gets the title match he was promised for Mania
Goldberg gets his title rematch
there's Wyatt Family vs. SHIELD implications
Fiend can have issues with all 3 (Reigns & Goldberg issues are obvious... but leading up to the match Bray can say Braun deserted "the family")
Goldberg & Reigns can play battle of the spears off to the side
and the end comes with Braun costing The Fiend (say Fiend has mandible claw locked in on Goldberg & Strowman breaks it up) leading to either Braun retaining or Reigns capitalizing and winning (Goldberg takes fall either way)
and there you go... Bray can continue with Braun by saying "not only did you desert the family... but now you've stolen from HIM"

That's a good layout.....I think I'm just blinded by my severe disdain for Goldberg....hard for me to get over at this point
