AEW Fanboy: "Muh WWE sucks! Vince needs to give up creative control or else it will die!"

*WWE hires Heyman and Bischoff as Executive Directors*

AEW Fanboy: "NO! NOT LIKE THAT!"

Just more proof that AEW fanboys concern troll and actually just want WWE to die and no matter what WWE does they wont be happy

this is extremely interesting news

obviously the elephant in the room is Vince and whether he'll allow Eric & Paul E. to do this right

but certainly reasons for optimism for wrestling & WWE fans that maybe a better product will start coming out on WWE TV

ETA: just please let Eric and Paul talk together so there are consistent stories and characters

Eric was brilliant in WCW in battling Vince but he was bad at the contract part. Way over paid for people.

Heyman got fricked over by the PPV company, then lost the TV deal because of being fricked over. ECW was incredible. He went up against two heavyweights in WWF and WCW and got people to love his product despite 1/100th the money.

These two guys if allowed to work freely, can absolutely save the product.

There is a shite ton of talent in WWE right now. A shite ton. Just need to get a new way of doing things, cause Vince being in charge of every part just isn't working.

I have a lot of the same thoughts as Mr. Five but I'm holding out hope that AEW can do well ... not expecting it, though, but we'll see. I am a fan of Moxley. Jericho has pretty much always been my favorite rassler. Also, I was pretty impressed by MJF at DoN. So there are things about AEW that make me hopeful.

If the idea is to make each show unique, that sounds like they will be ending the wild card rule. Especially if Smackdown is gonna be the more athletic show.

Glad to see Bischoff back in wrestling. Listening to his podcast he has some pretty interesting ideas that I think would make the product better.

The biggest problems with WWE, in my opinion, is storylines that come from nowhere or make no sense. Also, with the scripted promos, there are some people who make cringeworthy speeches. So if Vince gives them more freedom, that can be good. Also, hopefully Heyman and Bischoff can add some personality to guys like Rick O'Shea and Balor instead of just hoping they get over because they flip around a lot.

honestly... I think the wild card rule and brand split has been dead in practice ever since before Middle East Mania

now if they want to truly re-split the shows again that's fine... WWE has all the talent they could ever need and then some to make it happen

the problem is neither Fox nor USA is going to want to miss out on having a Roman Reigns or a Miz on TV every week

On twitter you have people shitting on this saying "WWE is stuck in the past" yet they are probably excited for another Chris Jericho AEW match

Yeah, I've basically forgot who is on which show.

Good point. Seems like Heyman and Bischoff would have to work together pretty closely.

I am a big critic of the wildcard rule because I think the two brands should remain separate. You have Kofi on TV twice a week and I think he is getting overexposed. He's been on TV more than anyone since the wildcard rule went into effect.

WWE broadcasters have hardly even mentioned "wild card rule" the last few weeks

and then... I don't know what dumbass thought this was a good idea to say this on air... Tom Phillips said during SD on Tuesday basically "don't expect to see any Raw stars tonight b/c they're on their way to Japan"

They have so much wasted talent right now that can't get on tv because of the wild card rule. Look at all the jobbers chasing after the 24/7 title while we get Shane getting significant tv time on both shows every week. Someone's losing out on a spot. I think USA will want to keep Miz to promote his show. Maybe Bischoff can do something with the 205 guys on Smackdown.

Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rusev (who may just be seeing out the end of his contract now), Cesaro, Eric Young

most of those guys should constitute a solid midcard AT LEAST... if not perhaps top champs 1 day (looking at you, Cedric Alexander & EC3)

the guy who gave a national platform to guys like Rey Mysterio, Jr, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Juventud Guerrera... yeah he can make cruiserweights into stars

Guys I want to see more of

EC3
Rusev
Buddy Murphy
Liv Morgan
Robert Roode

I read that at house shows they are having a stable of EC3, Robert Roode and Cesaro wrestle together. frick that would be an awesome stable, a cocky, arrogant exclusive stable of the 1%ers.

I want stable warfare in WWE... like when WCW had the nWo fighting the 4 Horsemen... or 4 Horsemen vs. Dungeon of Doom

that was good drama there

Vince hates stables... for whatever reason

can you image that stable you just mentioned taking on a reorganized "Club" of AJ Styles, Finn Balor, & the Good Bros?

ETA: I mean... FFS vince... it's worked for you before... DX vs. the Nation of Domination & DX vs. the Hart Foundation were amazing feuds

Chad Gable and Apollo Crews have been tearing it up as a tag team at house shows. Get Angle to manage them and put them on tv. That would be awesome.

Remember when the Hart foundation vs the NOD vs DX was on? It wasn't long because of the screwing of Hart but man...that was awesome.

I mean Vince has had DX, Hart Foundation, Nation, Evolution, the Corporation, etc.

Not sure why he doesn't want these to continue...they are huge story lines every week people want to see when done well.

I'll go on another tangent here....there has been some talk of AEW in this thread.

Anyone seen the response of AEW to the announcement that WWE is going to run the Evolve anniversary show live on the network which is the same day as Fight for the Fallen? They announced Jericho for that show shortly after that announcement.....which is strange because Jericho announced publicly that he is no showing Fyter Fest because it is free on BR Live. Fight for the Fallen is also free....so what's the damn difference....oh yeah Evolve on the network.....they also announced today that Moxley v Janela is non-sanctioned complete with a video package of Moxley's death match highlights from CZW. Interesting developments there.
