Legendary wrestler Rocky Johnson, who younger fans know as The Rock’s father, has reportedly passed away at 75-years-old.

Johnson wrestled for the NWA throughout the 60s, 70s and 80. In 1983, he and Tony Atlas became the first black tag team to win the WWF World Tag Team Championships as the Soul Patrol.

Rocky was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008.

These guys just can’t stay alive after wrestling. It’s becoming an epidemic.

Slight difference between Rocky Johnson dying at 75 and a bunch of 80s guys like Hercules and Big Boss Man dying of fatal heart attacks in their 40s.

Tony Atlas is still alive and having women kick him in the face despite a lot of drug abuse and a period of homelessness in his past.

Spent many a Saturday Morning watching Rocky Johnson take on Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee and/or Tommy Rich on TV. Good times.

Met a dude who wrestles part time on new years, just found out 3 days ago he died. He was in his 30s.

It is an even bigger spread than dog years. Maybe 8 or 9 to 1.
He was really 675 years old. Damn long life.

Cowboy Bill Watts is 80. Terry Funk is 75.
Kevin Von Erich is 62 which for that family is like 700.

He's the only one still alive, isn't he?

True but most of the Von Erich’s committed suicide so who knows how long they really would have lived

David and Mike died of drug overdoses with Mikes certainly being suicide.

Kerry and Chris used a gun. Kerry a .44 magnum.

Another brother died at 6 years old.

Gino Hernandez was a family friend who died of a drug overdose as did Chris Adams.
