Our usps delivery guy is the worst employee of any organization on earth. We have 2-3 posts a day of people asking who got their mail, or telling someone else they had their stuff.
I used some leftover points from a vendor to get a French press. It stated delivered, but was nowhere to be found. Replacement shipped 3 weeks ago and still hasn't made it, but is "delivered"

Union protected government minority workers.

I've learned that if the USPS tracking says "delivered," the delivery is ALWAYS the following day. Never fails. But the mailman/lady always brings the package all the way up my drive to the garage if it won't fit in the mailbox, so I don't bitch about the extra day. They don't leave anything sitting on the ground by the mailbox like some do.

The USPS service at my apartment in BR is good. When i lived in Nola it was shite, but so was Fedex. It probably depends on how good the mailman on your route is.

I can't wait for Amazon to fire those sorry asses.

Called amazon about it, and it had on the notes that the package was scanned as delivered, but the post carrier will deliver it tmmw.
If they accidentally mark it as delivered they can't fix it.
I used to work in ecommerce and the local sort facility did that with about 20 packages the same afternoon they were shipped. Got an immediate message from an irate customer. Investigated and found all the others so I reached out to them.
Fortunately everyone was honest and nobody claimed they didn't get the package.

Now this is an understatement. I've had 3 packages over the past couple years get "lost."

Last package I payed extra for 2 day shipping was not delivered on time. The excuse they gave was my front door was unrechable due to a gate blocking the subdivision entrance or some other obstacle. This is the biggest pile of bullshite because I don't live in a gated community. The stupid arse mailman forget to deliver the package. If the "door was unreadable " or "obstacle in the way" then explain how I got mail in my mail box.
I tried called them out on this bullshite and there was nothing they could do.

A shining example of affirmative action at work.

Same thing happened to me. I was around the house waiting for a package all day. It was out for delivery. I even saw the mail truck pass. But they delivered the mail and left. I check my phone and it said something like "nobody available to sign for package. Note left. Pick up package at post office". Nobody came to the door. No note was left. I was right there.
This lazy-arse postal worker scanned my package and said I wasn't home and is going to make me drive to the post office to pick it up because they were too lazy to get their arse out of their truck and come to my door.
I was fricking furious.

Yeah, anytime I get an amazon package coming from usps I know I'm in for a wild ride.. Status delivered but no package. Status updated to delivery tomorrow. Then still no package... Start calling after it's late... Then it shows... Usually.

It's a federal government agency.

There's not much that pisses me off more than delivery service incompetence. A couple months ago I was building a computer so I had to order a bunch of expensive parts at once and what a complete shite show that was. Had some kind of issue with almost every single package (UPS). Multiple packages were marked as "out for delivery" and then they'd never show up. I drove out to their location and was told that my packages were "probably" there but I'd have to wait until the next day to see because god forbid they go check inside the truck.
Now when I order something I just tell them to hold my packages at the location when they get them and don't even try to deliver them. I'll do your job for you you fricking morons

In Houston now we have been getting Amazon delivery drivers for our two day packages. Had a package delivered this past Sunday at 8pm. I guess since there in a distribution warehouse in Humble they have their own drivers deliver most of the packages now.

Mail is a big part of our business, especially this time of year and our local service has been awful as of late

I've been lucky that that haven't fricked up on very many of my packages.

Hmmmm... I've been waiting on a FedEx package and got the same excuse.

Customer Not Available or Business Closed
Recommended action:
Delivery will be re-attempted the next business day.
It's also showing destination as my town... but the last delivery attempt location is listed as Covington. I never really have issues with UPS but it's like USPS and FedEx just don't give a shite anymore.
