3. Apparently little Harlem or whatever they call that area around old Jefferson is trying to prove their street cred.

Apartments along I-10 have really contributed to the problems they have started to become the hood

Also the Shrewesbury area off Causeway is a ghetto . Kenner below W.Esplanade is getting pretty trashy as well.

E Jefferson has become the most "diverse" area of metro area

I wouldn’t say the entire westbank. Westwego and Gretna are locked down. They have crimes in Terrytown and Marrero just like places in Kenner and Metry. It’s all the same. Criminals are gonna criminal.

First, the mafia influence decreased, then Harry Lee passed, and then Big Lee was murdered. Creating a leadership vacuum in the parish.

There will be some form of retreat from Orleans if things remain the same. There is a reason the property values from Bonnabel to 17th st Canal are skyrocketing. Former Metairieites who moved into Lakeview cheap after Katrina that are looking to capitalize on their gains and rid themselves of the poor infrastructure and higher costs of living in Orleans. They are not as concerned with socializing on a nightly basis as they were before they got married and had kids. They are still trying to stay close enough to Lakeview to remain in their same social circles for now but as all that property gets eaten up you will see more and more look for property deeper into Jefferson like their parents did or move to the Northshore.

Shrewsbury had shoes hanging on the power lines 30 years ago. It hasn't been a good place as long as I've been alive

I went to Impastato’s for Easter lunch and Mosca’s last Saturday for dinner. Through observation of those two places, the mafia is still alive in JP, lol.
