I see a lot people(mostly left) being really pissed off that we have lost 3 soldiers in this mission. That’s heartbreaking. And it sucks. However since these attacks started Saturday, I’m sure there have been at least 10 people killed in Chicago BY AMERICANS.. it happens all day everyday in cities all across the country for NO REASON. Yet Trump is trying to get rid or a regime that has threatened every nation they can they they will strike when they get the chance. Yet we don’t hear them bitching about what is happening right under their noses…

Exactly. Really sad. They bitch about everything. I wonder if they would gripe if Iran WAS able to send a nuke towards their home??? Not to mention the MASS communication loss and the fallout from that if someone were to hit our power grid…

So what’s Irans strategy? Obviously they bombed US bases and Israel. But also UAE as well as British & French bases? Is the hope big brother Putin is going to come in and support/join their battle against the west? Why attack multiple other countries right now and lure them into war?

Might be banking on the countries not wanting to respond with escalation.
Instead of returning fire the UAE and other ME countries may instead decide to de-escalate. Iran agrees to stop attacking if the US stops attacking.

It really doesn’t make much strategic sense on the surface.
If the goal is deterrence or signaling strength, hitting multiple countries at once seems more likely to unify them against you than to scare them off. With every strike, it looks less like a coherent long-term strategy and more like escalation without a clear endgame.

They also hit Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and lobbed a few toward a British base in Cypress, which the Cypriots foolishly denied until another one finally got through and impacted at the base. Jordan has been busy shooting down drones as well.
It is not the brightest strategy on their part, but it goes to show how much real hate there is between Sunnis (most of the ME) and Shias (most of Iran).
